I admire your passion CC, and this sounds like a much more inclusive organisation, surely everybody can agree that we need to fight hate, injustice and prejudice whoever it's directed against, i'll send a small donation in later, you might to edit your post however you've spelt Burnley wrong.
The key for me is stopping this in the bud when our youngsters are young, nobody is born with hate, but their upbringing, parental influence, and other assorted factors can turn them into a bigot, sexist, and hating other minorities for no apparent reason.
Having lived in Glasgow for almost 30 years, i'm well aware of the catholic/protestant divide in this city, it's not as bad as it used to be, but it still lingers beneath the surface, and sadly it probably always will, but it is on the wane, through various community projects, usually started by the schools, that's where we can make a difference and stop this at source, before it takes root in the next generation.
Couldn't agree more with this post. This is a much better message and way of presenting that discrimination of any sort (racism, ageism, sexism, political views) should be wiped out but SENSIBLY. BLM is not the way to do it in this country (can't speak for other countries and wouldn't want to). The Club should have released a statement based more on this movement than wholeheartedly supporting the BLM movement, although I fear The FA have forced all clubs down this route.

It was a bit hotter than I'd have liked but it's a beautiful bike to eat some miles on. Enjoy your next outing!

Don't think this has been mentioned on here, this fund raising got a mention in The Times today (wed) - it wasn't in the Sports pages, either.
"Burnley fans have started a Go Fund Me page raising money for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, set up in memory of the black teenager after he was killed in a racist attack in 1993."
Well done the organisers. Well done all who have donated.

I did a little chat with Joe.co.uk on the fundraiser, FYI it's heavily edited down from 10+ mins of talking. I'd hope some of stuff about Burnley in the Community would have made it in.
I look forward to people telling me hairdressers are open again
