He looked a bit pointless the other night, but I guess he is less likely to stand out in MC's superstar line-up.welsbyswife wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:07 pmThe first 3 fair do's but you can't knock Sterling on current form.
Has he done anything of note since the restart?

I think after the last 12 to 18 months he's allowed the odd quiet game without suggestion that he isn't worth an England spot.

To be fair to Declan - he’s enjoying his best ever season with 2 assists.

Well, I didn't say he wasn't worth a squad place, just that it seems that some players, and I include Sterling and McGuire in this, are there regardless of form.I could add Danny Rose while I'm at it.welsbyswife wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:15 pmI think after the last 12 to 18 months he's allowed the odd quiet game without suggestion that he isn't worth an England spot.

Don't get me started on Danny Rose. Quickly becoming the new Sol Campbell.

He's scored just one less goal since the restart than all the Burnley players put together and we think we've done pretty damn well

They tend to have learnt their trade.
Southgate seems not to pick those players. The Eddie Howe syndrome.
