The cult of the manager

Post by Woodleyclaret » Thu Jul 16, 2020 6:40 am

Why do all directors have constant shots of the managers and owners during live games?
Last night the BBC missed promising moves from both teams while we go to shots of Nuno messing with his beard.
In the WestHam game we got shots of the crooks that run WHU.
Last moan why do we need to see the upcoming teams for a game on later?leave it for 5 mins before kick off
There is a need is to focus on the actual match ,the pundits are bad enough with their ill informed drivel
Jasper Carrots joke about someone shouting "Carrot you're a cult" or a least something like that, springs to mind
We don't need cults we've enough media darlings already

Got to say, it’s never really bothered me. I did think they cocked up a few times last night by showing replays whilst the ball was in play though

There were ELEVEN missed passages of play last night. The live editing was as poor as I’ve ever seen it.

There was one decent attempt for us that we entirely missed with a shot of Tarkowski! It was later replayed and my son assumed it was live, not realising it had already happened.

You can see why there’s no football on BBC!

Not the first time. Happened in a few games and not just ours. There was one the other night where I thought a team were on the attack but it had happened a few minutes earlier. They were too busy focusing on a chairman I think.

I thought the same. I think a newbie must have been handed the reins.

The one in particular was focusing on Tarky whilst we were attacking, the commentator had to do radio commentary as the game wasn't being shown

I think the guy who directed the Prisoner had been brought back, what with that bloody giant ball thing rolling in the way of the action every two minutes!

Even my wife commented on how poor the live editing was last night and she’s not a fan of football on the telly and was barely even watching.

It was pretty awful. It's as if they got a work experience person to do the editing.

When they were showing Tark I originally thought they'd actually messed up the audio - and it wasn't in sync with what was going on.

Then whoever was sorting it, woke up, and we we'd missed a chance.

I think in the second half as we were on the attack the camera focused on Tarkowski for at least 30 seconds, was weird listening to the commentary and watching Tarkowski just stood there doing nowt,i think last nights coverage of the game was the worst ive ever witnessed we even paid the Cricket club a visit at one stage...poor!

Masterstroke by Sky letting the BBC have some live games. Just shows how poor they are. Embarrassing last night. Shocking match editing and Linekar gave the impression he was bored whitless just because there weren't many goals on show. Very poor coverage.
