I reckon we'll end up with him. Would be a decent enough signing. If not there are other options from the Championship.ClaretAL wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 11:55 amA bit on Dawson. Watford actively trying to offload him...

Would be a good signing at this point in time, the opposite to Ben Gibson and that’s what we need now.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Even though Watford fans don't rate him and he's been relegated twice, I really wouldn't have a problem with us signing him as an extra body
Positives
Cheap
Better than Long
Deadly at set pieces
Dyche type defender, would fit in well in our system

If we were serious we would have got him by now
Sadly I suspect a bidding war now ie Fulham, WHU, and maybe a championship side will come in too.He is guaranteed a starting position with us deputising for Mee initially the replacing Bardsley
We could be on 4-6 points by now. Stay as we are and we might go P7 W0

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Given the extremely perilous financial situation many Championship clubs are in (surely far worse than ours) it's a surprise we are not being linked with anyone yet, unless we are doing our business on the quiet
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
We aren't being linked because we won't be signing anyone, we will go with the squad we have and pray we don't have too many injuries.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 12:46 pmGiven the extremely perilous financial situation many Championship clubs are in (surely far worse than ours) it's a surprise we are not being linked with anyone yet, unless we are doing our business on the quiet

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I'm pretty sure Dyche said we wouldn't be active in the EFL extended window when asked by journalists a week or so ago.
Although the injury to Long if at all serious may force the issue a little more, fingers crossed it does.
* Fingers crossed as in force the issue regards an incoming, not serious injury before people get the pitch forks out ..

Rumours that Mr Garlic has been speaking about us signing a Croatian winger, currently playing in Austria.

So, with the transfer window done and dusted there was just over £180 spent on fees for every post on here about our dealings.
Good work everyone.
Let’s do this again in January.

I apologise for all the wrong rumours, Dwight, Tarks, Jones.....
All given to me in good faith and I am sure there was value in them.
Last rumour of the window:
Dyche to Nottingham Forest
Source: Well why wouldn’t he after that shower.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
There was something in all those rumours. Because they didn't come to fruition is not your fault.

If somebody comes out with a rumour, that's fine. What annoys me is when we have the 'Wellsy' effect, which is made up on purpose, to instigate chat.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020 (MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Leave Wellsy alone, every village needs an idiot

It’s fair game to rip someone when they insinuate that they’re in the know, when they’re clearly not. No point getting worked up about it. I’m sure those that do this expect comeback.

Absolutely! I said throughout that I’d rather post rumours that come to me than sit on them and be smug when they happen!
They all came in good faith, as did a whole bunch of other people posting rumours.
I don’t get the need to be so pompous and self righteous.

What annoys people is when they pretend to know something, when they are clearly making it up. I ask Tony to ban them, as it's a pain in the backside.Danieljwaterhouse wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 4:57 pmAbsolutely! But, if you genuinely believe that something has happened, then post it. I've no problem with that.

We’d all be surprised how many transfer requests, or enquiries for players in a window. It’s natural that the majority or not completed or shut down.

Some posters also have a good track record of being right time after time I like reading certain posters posts because they know what there are talking about, some said Wilson wasn't coming, some said Gibson would be off pre rockliffe, you just know when things materialise later on when things were mentioned weeks/months ago.

I noticed during the transfer window, the second we were in for somebody Sheffield United and Aston Villa were all over it. It was like they waited for us to do our scouting, and then just went for the same players. I think Harry Wilson is the only one they weren't interested in.

Just watched a video of that Simakan lad. Looks a very good RB. Strong, tall, rapid, good feet for a big lad. I’m sold.
Assuming Bardsley is in his last year, I would like us to get a a RB in Jan to settle them in to the team. Thought JBG looked okay last night, and will only get better, so would arguably put that position top of the pile now.
