Look at the accounts. We cant afford players.burnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:44 pmI really believed that our generally hopeless chairman was going to at least try to do something today. But the guy is a joke.
I really don't know what the belmtard is doing?
The sooner he goes, the better.
We just lived in hope that he was a lying b@stard GrannyGranny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:37 pmLoving the faux outrage, why are people surprised, Dyche said as much would happen most of last week.
Print it off and send it to the chairman.
Don’t shoot the messenger. Someone asked who the two Premier League players that we have signed are.burnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:45 pmThe guy isn't even worth mentioning.
Stephens is bad enough.
If we can't afford players now god help us as we tumble down the leagues.
"This is how our time in the top flight ends, not with a bang but with a whimper"Socrates wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:47 pmReally, really, really poor from the club. I’m very concerned about this season now.
Garlick, Rigg, Dyche - nobody comes out of this blame free. All could have done more, done better.
Some very well paid and wealthy individuals appear to be putting their own interest and reputation before the good of the club. We’ve got where we are by stripping egos and having a “one club” mentality. Some heads need banging together and reminding of that.
The money we’ve said on Lennon, Hendrick and Hart alone will likely cover the loss of income from ticket sales this season. The money in the bank is for a rainy day - and if it’s not raining now then I don’t know what the hell constitutes rain.
We’ve had some bloody awful transfer windows but this is, by quite some margin, the worst as a Premier League club. And the worst part is that I suspect the actions of this window are just a chain reaction to a horrible 12 months - I would not be surprised to see us relegated with a different manager and a massive rebuilding job on our hands this time next summer.
Really disappointed.
Or identifying a player that's good enough to become one.
Exactly. So there is nobody we can afford....at all?Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:49 pmI’m sure there’s some money, but it’s finding the right players for the right price. If we go down this season it’s because of Dyche not Garlick.
We don’t want to go into debt. Can’t argue with that.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:52 pmIf we can't afford players after being in this league for 5 years then we may as well pack it all in because when we go down and the money dries up from the TV it will be the same story but in the championship, with us all accepting our inevitable relegation to league one which is ironic because we are told to look at clubs in those divisions as the reason we don't stretch it a little bit. Still, at least we have a club eh? Jesus wept.
I don’t think I really need to define what a Premier League player is.
What should we have done? Paid £20m for Wilson, who has done the square root of naff all in his career?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:52 pmIf we can't afford players after being in this league for 5 years then we may as well pack it all in because when we go down and the money dries up from the TV it will be the same story but in the championship, with us all accepting our inevitable relegation to league one which is ironic because we are told to look at clubs in those divisions as the reason we don't stretch it a little bit. Course there is, see my post above, but they aren’t the players dyche goes for.Braindead wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:53 pmExactly. So there is nobody we can afford....at all?
I have said for a long time that Dyche puts his eggs in one basket in terms of incoming players, when invariably we get either outbid or refuse to be held over a barrel, we have no plan B, ever. That is the manager's responsibility.
And as you said, that is the manager's responsibility.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:55 pmCourse there is, see my post above, but they aren’t the players dyche goes for.
You went on The Orient Game didn't you?Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:59 pmLike a moth drawn to the flame you return to this thread, only to be hit by the same whinging minnies.
It should come with a warning of low flying dummies and teddy bears.
I dread to think how some on this board would cope in the event of an actual crisis.
Slamming the board, when without The Kilbys and Garlicks we probably wouldn't have a club at all. We've been fortunate to enjoy the best 10 years of football at this club for 60 years, when we had no bloody right too. Rubbed shoulders and taken on some of the biggest teams in World football. We've enjoyed results against some of them that have left football fans amazed, and left the vast majority of teams throughout the country, completely jealous of us. Yet instead of seeing the bigger picture, the reality of the affects of Covid, some would rather throw toys at the very people who helped get us here.
It isn't even as if it's over. 3 bloody games in with an injury ravaged squad, yet the white flags wave from over the rim of the prams. I'm sure you won't be, but you really should be ashamed of yourselves. Gutless, pampered and spoiled. You really don't deserve to follow a club as unique as the Clarets.
I have no crystal ball, I don't have a clue where we will finish this season, although I think we have enough to stay safe if we can get our squad back fit and firing. Thats when they will need our support, they don't need this defeatist bullshit emanating from empty stadiums or this message board. The only certainty in football is that at the end of the season 3 teams will go down. If we happen to be one of them, I'll be cheering us on to bounce back straight away. Hopefully most of you will have gone back to supporting your other teams. We don't need you.

Can you just explain the bit about not having a club at all without Mr Garlick ?Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:59 pmLike a moth drawn to the flame you return to this thread, only to be hit by the same whinging minnies.

Dyche is part of the problem, wake up.ClaretMov wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:05 pmLol pric k.....come back at the end of the season and see if you have the same attitude, and before you ask I've supported Burnley 48 years and no other club.
Ps if you are happy with what's going on with the lack of support for Dyche and the player's from this board I think its you that needs to support another team, a true fan can't be happy with what's going on with the board, and Garlick has nothing to do with how we got to the premier league.
I did, so what?
Yes he is, because he has put up with it for too long
How do we support the Board ?Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:06 pmI did, so what?
This has nothing to do with the Orient game, nothing to do with history, this is about the realities of today Oct 2020.
If you can't understand why the board are in this situation you must be living in a darkened room at the bottom of a coal mine.
Everybody is frustrated, but there is no point getting upset about it, or turning on the people we should be supporting, and that includes the board.
Frustration, yes
Anger, what the hell for
Maybe, but surely it was worth a relatively small risk to replace Gibson and Lennon. It comes across like we have just given up.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:01 pmThere’s no point people getting wound up about it. Without serious investment the premier league will out grow us. Every single team bar us has a rich owner this season, we are bound to go down eventually.
We can’t afford to continue to compete, it’s simple maths.
Turn the light off Colburn_Claret, its obviously more exciting for youColburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:06 pmI did, so what?

And when the chairman stumps up the cash like 15 million on Gibson, Dyche decides he surplus to requirements.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:55 pmCourse there is, see my post above, but they aren’t the players dyche goes for.
We’ve got two glass statues already, we don’t need anymore!
Haven't the medical team got enough to do
I fully agree with you, Dyche is about 10% of the problem the other 90% is the board.
