Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Come out of nowhere this one, good player.
Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
My mate used to have a Jota ... A Laverda motorcycle and on a trip to wales it rusted in front of our eyes absolutely wicked to ride but a heap of deteriorating junk in the garage

Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
I'm not sure how to respond. I wonder if Liverpool fans have threads on their forums when we sign a player?
Unlikely I'd say, because we don't sign anyone.

Wolves are losing some vital players, first Doherty to Spurs, and now Jota to Liverpool, just shows that even the bigger clubs struggle to hold onto their star names when the mega clubs come calling, Leicester & Sheff Utd might suffer the same fate, if they continue to upset the applecart.

Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
I don’t think Doherty was getting regular game time at the latter end of last season. And while Jota is a good player, that’s a massive fee and Fabio Silva is obviously seen as first team ready considering £35m outlay.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 12:02 amWolves are losing some vital players, first Doherty to Spurs, and now Jota to Liverpool, just shows that even the bigger clubs struggle to hold onto their star names when the mega clubs come calling, Leicester & Sheff Utd might suffer the same fate, if they continue to upset the applecart.

No one yet, this thread has jumped the gun. All that's happened is the two clubs have agreed a deal.

Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Squad players like Brewster and Shaquri, will be moved on.
Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Good signing for Liverpool, I think. He's a versatile sort who could play anywhere across their front 3.
Wolves are an odd one, though. They relied on about 14 players last season and they've just sold 2 of those to PL rivals, and they've brought in two 18 year olds as replacements it seems. Not that it affected them against Sheff Utd, but it will be interesting to note how they get on this season.

Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Wolves' business model seems to be doing well.
Sigh cheap, sell for more and replace.
They've kept key players like Jimenez and the manager has signed a new deal also.
Would appear they've been watching how the big clubs do it.

Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Takes Liverpools spending this summer over £80 million, despite recent concerns over their lack of activity. Its all relative...
Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
The thread was created as the Liverpool Echo reported that he had signed not that a deal had been agreed.
They are offloading Origi to make room in the squad apparently.

A helluva lota for Jota.
Re: Liverpool sign Jota for £45m
Wait? No comments on this fee in relation to Tarkowski like we normally have.
If he’s worth £35m than Tarkowski is surely worth £27.50

£45m? He’s a decent player, but that’s really silly money.
