I think you misunderstood his question
He's asked if it's worth having both, I've always found it's down to game choice and then console preferences.

I know people who don't like the Xbox controllers, so they don't have them.
Others don't like the PS due to gameplay, or faults they have.

I received a full cash refund for mine last month. Can't see the point of having it sitting there doing nothing apart from depreciating in value when I'll be able to buy it for £20 or so by this time next year and by then it should be in a lot better shape.

Hi, Just to be clear, Do mean a refund for the PS5 or just a game (Cyberpunk?) ?

I see some more stock was released today, to be harvested up by Bots and then put onto ebay with big markups

I'd be more annoyed at not getting a ps5 if there was a game that screamed out at me. But none of them do, so on that basis, I can wait.

I'm just waiting for 2 things.

Money and to see if they've got any issues.

The fan on my PS4 is noisy again, I've changed it once already, so I may as well upgrade.

Kids love there PS5s had no issue getting them from scan computers only hassle was paying £11 for postage. The problem over the horizon is storage as they have less than the PS4 pro and they are already running out. The appropriate external storage is really expensive at the minute might have to bite the bullet soon and buy some but avoiding for now.

Good thing you didn't get an series X then, you'd be paying twice as much per GB for the official drive.

Just managed to grab one this morning as they came back in stock at Argos.

Interested in what games are worth getting/not getting.

I really enjoyed unchartered on the PS4 and think there is a new one of these coming out next month. Are there any other games similar to this worth picking up?

Probably will get fifa too at some point

The spider man games are really good.

I would give the remastered uncharted games a go. Look so impressive on ps5

Was looking at that one (Spider-Man).

Are the remastered ones PS5 or PS4 discs?

Whatever you do leave around 200-300gb on the storage and plug directly into a wall.

If you don’t when you play the higher res PS5 games you can see the console just turn off. My son has suffered because if this and therefore so have I ;) I ended up buying an external hard drive for his PS4 games that and plugging directly into the wall solved for now!!

Sorry just seen this my kids have the disk version but I suspect it is related to downloadable software rather than disk. Up to now only had an issue when playing Fortnite or COD vanguard both are downloads rather than disk.

I don’t have the best internet and haven’t any plans to play online as such as a result. Just picked up Spider-Man game so will see how we get on

Almost got one yesterday but the fact there’s only 1 game for it I want to play (that I can’t play on my PS4 or XSS) made me leave it.

The chip shortage means developers just aren’t making the games exclusively for this generation yet.

I'm wondering if this current generation is going to be a dead generation? They've been out for two years, and yet neither of them has a 'must have' killer app (game). Another year of this and we are past the midway point in a console's lifespan.

It may be longer before the next generation comes out though but yes, the games feel like they are pretty much a lot of the ones you got on previous generations

They also look ugly. Fair enough for a bedroom or games/music room, but not in the living room, at least not in ours.

It does seem like its the even numbered PlayStations that really have the impact culturally.

PS2 was massive, PS3 seemed to be an expensive bluray player for many, PS4 was again massive, and well yeah PS5 just hasnt seemed to have the same impact, understandably so with the supply issues

I guess with the prices of the consoles now too its understandable if people skip a generation now and then if there isnt a compelling game to hang the console on.

I remember that San Andreas tipped me over to getting the slim PS2

Ive had a PS5 since launch day, and it’s a great console. Games wise there is no huge justification for one as I type, but the difference in speed (and noise, as my PS4 sounded like a jet engine) is worth it for me. It’s simply far nicer to use.

Next year is the year I’d argue it’s the time to get it. Gran Turismo 7, Horizon 2 and God of War 2 are all coming out and whilst they’ll also be on PS4, they are games I’d personally want to be experiencing in the best manner I could do.

If you’re on the fence though, I say go for it.

I didn't know that Horizon 2 is going to be released on the PS4. Horizon and Witcher 3 are two of my favourite PS4 games. Horizon 2 being on the PS4 makes me more inclined to wait or miss this gen completely. To be honest, I might even go down the PC route when GPU prices drop. My PC is pretty high spec, apart from the GPU.
