Positivity

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Sun Sep 20, 2020 6:17 pm

Trying to look at the positives of Tarks leaving.

We could probably sign all of the below players for 20mil:

Dawson
Worrall
BOS
Stephens

That would still allow us to bank 20 mil.

Let’s get behind Dunne tonight and hope he plays a blinder

You're dreaming if you think those 4 will cost any less than 50 million.

I somehow doubt that we'll bring in those four if Tarks leaves.
Sincerely hope he doesn't but it doesn't look good at present.

Give Jimmy Dunne a chance until January see where we go.

I'd rather keep season tickets frozen than buy a good CB, Winger and CM and the season tickets shoot up in price.

McNeil came out of the same situation , and the rest is history, what's to say Dunne isn't the same? It could solve more problems than we think we have if he does step up like McNeil did ,and gives us more cash to spend on other positions. This could be a sliding door's situation as it was with McNeil.

Chin up guys!

My thought process:

Worrall - 10m
BOS - 3.5m (that was the fee the Belgium club had agreed with QPR)
Stephens - 2-3m (9 months left on contract and over 30)
Dawson - 3m

Positives from the Leicester game.

We scored 2 and created several other decent openings.

Wood got off the mark, and Dunne got a goal on debut.

Brownhill impressed again, and he's looking a better signing by the game.

Vydra was lively when he came on.

We stopped Vardy scoring.

Half the team missing injured and but for stinking luck with the og, Wood hitting post with Schmeichel nowhere could have so easily been 3-3

How many people have seen this BOS play? From what ive seen he runs down a lot of blind alleys.

Are people just getting excited by a exotic name?
