Is it a 12 pm deadline to register players in time for weekend matches?

No longer being even mentioned in the headline straps on Sky Sports News

Re: Harry Wilson
why do people need to make things up!
if this is going to be done then id be very surprised if it was today.
one thing that does seem clear at the moment is that if he wants to play premier league football then we are the only club in for him.

I don't think it will. Doesn't he need to sign before 12pm to play tomorrow? And the medical itself can take all day.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 9:56 amif this is going to be done then id be very surprised if it was today.

We need to crack on with this if we are serious about getting him because there will be some desperate clubs over the next few days and we might just find ourselves getting gazumped.

hope you're not making that up GWW!
Re: Harry Wilson
Another club could come in for him at any time, nothing is settled until a player signs on the dotted line!

On the flip side of that his agent will know there may well be some desperate clubs around so might not want to push it.

Nothing new regarding Wilson it seems. We've made contact but that seems to be as far as things stand.

Well aye.
Re: Harry Wilson
I would be surprised if this transfer happened. Or is it me just being “Burnley”

Re: Harry Wilson
I'll be pleasantly surprised if it comes off, so I'm not overly confident either.
Any respectable source seems to be saying we've been in touch - that was the day before yesterday, with nothing of note since. Figures of £15 million being banded about.
Re: Harry Wilson
Daz Bentley just tweeted that there will be no transfer announcements today.

Re: Harry Wilson
As I posted last night, I've no article written and I'm not expecting anything to happen today. He was with Liverpool at Lincoln last night, had the deal been going through he would not have been on the bench for them.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 9:56 amwhy do people need to make things up!

Dyche on Wilson ‘When there are rumours I tend not to comment, there’s a number of things we are looking at but it takes the magic chequebook’.
As far as Dyche’s riddles go that’s quite a positive one...

Re: Harry Wilson
Yeah, it does sound like he wants him, but it's now in the hands of Garlick to make the final decision.
So I guess we'll either hear more promising news about this, or it'll go silent.
Re: Harry Wilson
I'm sure I read on one of the submitted links, that discussions were to take place on Friday (today).
Re: Harry Wilson
In what world do you think Dyche would sign a player Friday lunch time and have him in the team Saturday night! hahahaJakubs Tash wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 10:04 amI don't think it will. Doesn't he need to sign before 12pm to play tomorrow? And the medical itself can take all day.

Re: Harry Wilson
One where he was desperate I would think. He will have Stephens in the squad tomorrow but he's already trained with us prior to the signing being announced. And as someone has said, Defour wasn't here too long when he played against Liverpool. But Dyche is so thorough, it would have to be exceptional circumstances.
Re: Harry Wilson
My money is on Pieters starting tomorrow ahead of Stephens. Dyche very rarely puts new players straight into a team, which I agree with. We base our defence on being organised and working as a team and it must take a few training sessions to pick that up.

Re: Harry Wilson
Yes he started - but got brought off just after the hour. He did score that wonderful free kick but other than that really struggled with his match fitness that day - though Chelsea were up there at the top of the league at the time.claretblue wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 12:51 pmthink Brady was selected for his full debut and played all 90mins against Chelsea
From memory I think Brady either missed or was on the bench for the next few games as he got his fitness sorted.

Think it tends to be a bit easier to slot attacking players straight in as less risk if they make a mistake. Harder when it’s central defenders or central midfielders.

Re: Harry Wilson
Liverpool Likely To Accept Figure Less Than Asking Price For Harry Wilson
Liverpool are believed to have set an asking price of £20m for the winger and are now in talks with Burnley over selling the player to the Clarets in the next ten days.
Burnley have tabled a bid for the winger but are some distance away from meeting Liverpool’s asking price for Wilson.
But the good news for the Claret is that the Reds are likely to accept a figure lower than their original asking price for the player.
It has been claimed that the champions of England are likely to accept a figure closer to the £15m mark.
