Looks like a crap Christmas party to me.
Are they the rules for Tier 3 Christmas parties? 2 people maximum from different households, distance of 5 meters at all times?

If people stuck to just posting about the potential takeover instead of bickering or counting down the pages we’d only be on around page 20.....

It's kept us occupied for a bit when there isn't much else on. And it's great for those who enjoy an 'in the know' persona on here.
But let's be honest now, there's no takeover. Back to the football everyone.

There seems to be a lot of similarities between this and a Brexit agreement, not sure either will happen.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
This thread was about a potential takeover of Burnley FC
Sadly, I opted to stop posting any info on here a few days ago because of some of the awful comments posted about me. The thread has been taken over by people with nothing better to do than to try to get it to 100 pages which has also helped ruin the thread.
Shame really but there we go - yet another thread ruined on this message board.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
In the early pages of this discussion there were lots of questions as to whether good thing or bad thing with quite a bit of caution unsurprisingly from visiting Charlton fans.
Are we any wiser on whether we should be panicking or or celebrating.
I always remember the Rovers takeover by Venkys and how much they were crowing at the time like a conceited bunch of cocks - that soon changed.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Things eerily quiet on the takeover front, anything in the media seems to be rehashed old news.
Let’s hope it’s resolved this week. It would be better for the recruitment team to have some notice of the numbers they have to work with. We need some quality badly. Bizarre that Dyche has never been given a set budget in 8 years with us.

Patience knew when it was over
The last dragged limp across the line
Never was the sky darker
Then when time was cajoled beyond its marker.

Breath and pace quickened the latter
But mortality and grace were never meant to utter
The sounds of a crawled slow failure
Last of all a wonderless whimper

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
What will be, will be.
If it's not done in time for the January window I don't see it happening. I can't help but feel pessimistic (in more ways than one) as that seems to have been the clear target for all parties throughout. Dyche needs reinforcements, desperately I would say, and if we were to get relegated I just do not see any knight in shining armour coming in to invest in us. It has a feeling of 'now or never' to me, and I hasten to add I have nothing to back that up.

At the end of the day there is nothing us mere fans can do about it.
All we can do is hope whatever happens over the next 3 or 4 weeks the outcome is favourable for the club as a whole.

All bidders have had plenty of time to do DD, they must now stump up with the cash, if not Garlick wants to tell them to do one

They were sold for a fraction of the price Burnley could be sold for, that's quite amusing really, considering how big they seem to think they are and that their natural place is in the PL, near to the top which is where they expected Venky's to take them.

The alterative would be that Garlick doesn't sell and borrows money against future premier league payments, this will enable Dyche to strengthen the squad and give us a fighting chance of retaining our position, as a premier league club.
The other alternative would be for Garlick to run the club down like he his at the moment, with the end result being relegation with the value of the club becoming next to worthless
