That all ties in with what I was told a while ago that they were no longer in the running.
I do believe the news is imminent although I'm not sure I am ready to define imminent just yet, but imminent.

Nah, it’s been this long, leave it till Christmas Eve.
Then an after dark unveiling video of Pacy Baby riding his sleigh up from London, flying over Rossendale and landing on The Turf, then pulling aside his fake beard and giving us all a wink and a smile!
Ideally he’ll have stopped off at Norwich and bundled Buendia in his sack. Or is that asking too much?

A sleigh? We thought he'd arrived by helicopter today. I was at the front door chatting to giveusab when a copter flew over and he said could it be Alan Pace arriving.NewClaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 6:03 pmNah, it’s been this long, leave it till Christmas Eve.

ALK are obviously waiting until after Christmas so they don’t need to buy the staff presents. Boxing Day completion then.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
All these posts referencing birthdays... We all celebrate a birthday on the 25th (if you will allow "we" as including all living in the UK and sharing in the bank holiday). Do you think the takeover will be announced, in a minute, on Friday morning?
On another matter. Be careful with helicopters, be very careful. Helicopters and football club owners don't have a great safety record.
EDIT: re takeover and Christmas - but, not helicopters.
Exciting times.

I don't celebrate anyone's, I just enjoy a day off work with a lighter than normal wallet after the marketing campaigns by the toy companies.

The type of comment that has been heavily criticised on this board for creating bickering... They did well not to rise to it.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:29 pmSo, basically you know what's going on, you suggest it was unrealistic for it to have been completed a couple of weeks ago and that Dyche isn't telling the truth and you know all about Alan Pace and therefore obviously his plans.
Poster only appears to have been passing on information they have been told which largely corroborates others.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
It's a great question, A.
I've got a series of video physiotherapy sessions on the go - trying to help me with a rotator cuff issue. The physio always asks me "on a scale of 1 - 10"... how much paid - where 1 is "no pain" and 10 is "call an ambulance..."
Thankfully, you've asked your question in a way that I find a bit easier to answer. I live in south west London, we are in Tier 4 - Christmas will be a "low key" affair this year. Thus, I'm confident that I'm more excited by the takeover... However, before tier 4, however exciting the takeover times will be - and a great win last night - Christmas would have got my vote.
Exciting times.
UTC
EDIT: Thinking about things a little bit more, I'm going to change my response. Yes, it's disappointing that my Christmas plans will be "low key" and a little quieter this year, but, it will still be my Christmas. Anything that I can effect and influence is always more exciting for me that something that I can't effect and am only a spectator watching from the side. The Burnley takeover is in the second category. I'm not involved or part of the action alongside either Mike Garlick or ALK and Alan Pace (I'd be very excited if I was). As a Burnley fan I'm excited by watching them play - and, like us all, I'm more excited by being at the game than watching on tv (we've had a lot of practice with the latter since June). So, in the same way that I'm more excited watching a game from the terraces - though that should be stands, I guess, with the terraces reserved for standing - I'm more exciting with the things in my personal life and I'm directly involved in.
Of course, it's still....
Exciting times.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I started physio in Sept - thru the "miracle" of video sessions. In the first month I could score 10 once or twice a day, if I made the "wrong move" - but it would only last 10-15 mins before it settled down again.
Yesterday's session I was reporting much more in the range 3-5 with the periods in between being either 1 or 2.
I was told 3 to 6 months when I started.
Let's see whether the takeover has completed before I'm finished with the physio - and more importantly whether I've been vaccinated.
Similarly, I want to wish that all the "long time" Clarets fans get their vaccinations soon.
Stay well. Keep safe, everyone.
Exciting times.
