Reading between the lines, it looks like there's a chance Barnes might be pulled out of this game to be on the bench tomorrow reading the official club preview of the game.

I’m sure I read somewhere about some unofficial rule Burnley have about long term injuries having to play two games before getting back in the squad.
I can’t remember where I’d seen it reported although with Jay Rod out they might be pushed into it.

I would tend to agree with you but, as you say, we're a touch short at the moment and I wonder whether this could mean he is back with the first team sooner than expected. Could be wrong, though.

Not need to rush Barnes back. SD knows that if he needs to reshuffle the pack he can move Dwight to no 10 or just play Eric Pieters up front.
