You could've written:
"Shaun Goater was in the team and the other scorers were......"
He was as nailed on to score as 5-0 seems to be nowadays.

Re: PREVIEW: Cup night at the Turf
Those teams from.1999/2000 league cup ties say Stephen Grant came on as sub twice for us, I cannot remember him.
Is it an error and meant to be Tony Grant, or have I missed a player I never knew played for us?
Edit - not an error, just googled him, well I never, you learn something new every day.
Seems I was a little behind the rest, could have just waited for someone to ask first

Yeah noticed soon as I pressed submit there were already posts on it. it said when I googled he only made 1 appearances for us, but I trust your stats to be far more accurate.

Re: PREVIEW: Cup night at the Turf
The Wikipedia page says 1 but they only include league appearances so it should be 0. He made just the two appearances as a sub in the League Cup.

What time is KO tonight please?
Re: PREVIEW: Cup night at the Turf
Wow - great piece of trivia.
Just looked him up - pretty amazing to do what he has done and changing sports like this at such a high level.
To make it as a golfer on any tour you need to be very good indeed - Grant is now consistently making cuts and hoping eventually to make it on European tour.
There can’t be many sportsmen to have crossed sports professionally like that - though many footballers are pretty decent at golf with the likes of Jimmy Bullard off scratch it’s a different matter doing it every week for your living.

For those abroad is there a “recommended” channel for the match being broadcast?

ESPN+ has it in the USA. I'm sure others like DAZN Canada may have it too.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 6:03 pmFor those abroad is there a “recommended” channel for the match being broadcast?

Re: PREVIEW: Cup night at the Turf
I love finding out what our players from the 1980s and 1990s are doing now as you know that they cannot have retired on what we paid them !!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 6:53 pmhad one of two little things like this recently which are excellent
I thought i had a great memory for Burnley players in that last 30 years but I can honestly not remember Stephen Grant - my first reaction was to think of Tony Grant !
I like reading what ex players have to say about the club and certain managers during their playing time - loved the Glen Little podcast he did with Sam Parkin etc
