I bet Dyche is a target. No doubt Forest can provide him a bigger budget and moving close to his home would be a big draw. It is a step down, but I could see him wanting the challenge.

Leave the Prem to go to the Championship? That’s a gamble regardless of how much money the owner has.

Eddie would get nosebleed if he moved North
He couldn't handle expectations at Burnley, Forest still expect their managers to return them to the Cloughie glory days.

....and as Random Claret has pointed out, it's very much a "hot seat" with a culture of hire and fire.

Depending where you are sitting, you might take the view that it gives a better chance of being a Premier League manager in 2022... :(

Though, I'm not sure Sean Dyche has the appetite to join a club that changes their manager/head coach frequently.

“Leave the Prem to go to the Championship” ironic he could be doing that by staying, it’s not looking good ahead.

I hope he goes then. If he doesn’t think he can keep Burnley up then give someone else a chance. Perhaps Mr Money at Forest will pay us the compensation and cover his “loyalty” bonus.

Do you think he’s lost the ability to manage and motivate a squad that finished 10th? Perhaps last season was a bit of a fluke and he’s now getting shown up as a one trick pony?

So the day after the night before has dawned, Forest get rid, and a guy that has untold millions to spend says to himself maybe this Dyche feller can sort this mess out here, he's getting nothing at Burnley, and i can afford to buy his contract out as well, also if i give him some decent money to spend, you never know what might happen ??? and another thing is Nottingham is closer to his family, if i was Dyche id be gone, no brainer to be honest, and no more run ins with Garlick, i myself could see Sean saying i told you so !! then lets see what happens....i await replys with bated breath, up yours Garlick. Our ship is sinking fast were 12 points behind Everton already .......comments please.

He’s even admitted it himself it’s improbable long term, he’s a good man manager motivator without doubt, even the best come unstuck eventually.

This is like fan fiction, where fans ship the two leads and they f.uck each other (it's PG content before they get their dirty minds on it), but with middle aged men and football instead of young adult novels.

Dyche built a reputation of getting the best out of players on a budget.
Now he whinges like mad about that there's not much going for him when other chairman are looking for a new manager.

They've done well to get Hughton, he did well at Brighton, and was arguably treated harshly with his sacking there after keeping them in the PL.

The timing also makes sense as the international break allows him a few days to get his feet under the table and assess the squad.

It happened so quickly though that you have to assume they've already been in talks with Hughton prior to firing the present gaffer.

I'd fancy Forest to at least make the play-offs now.

Hughton was harshly sacked but Brighton have come on leaps and bounds since with the new manager Potter took over.

Amazing how some people constantly think Dyche would jump ship from a very well paid PL job for dysfunctional Championship clubs

If the Derby job came up would people immediately start linking Moyes or Wilder?

Of course he's not happy as things stand but he's a career professional who has twice proven he can get out of the Championship - whatever his next move he'll be setting his sights higher than repeating that

They link him to dysfunctional championship clubs because he's still here and not being chased by PL clubs.

Deep down inside they want him to move on so they've got something to bash the club about.

To alanstevesonsgloves, thank you for you comment, but this Mick is anything but SOFT, i have been watching the clarets since the days of Kindon, Thomas, Coates, etc, all i was saying was that Dyche might be better going than staying, and Garlick as well, the football being served up by us is NONE attacking, sideways, backwards, you name it we need a new broom, to sweep us FORWARD, for christ sake, and also the silence from the Chairman/Club is that loud its deafning, rant over.

Know chance that Dyche would step down to a club like forest after what he has achieved here, he will be far more ambitious

They also wouldn't be able to afford his release fee or his wages

He was sacked after ten minutes.
