Thinking of watching the Sheffield Wednesday v Brentford game, hoping for a Brentford win.

Zinedine Zidane must be on borrowed time at Real, they lost at Cadiz in their last league outing, and defeat tonight would surely be the final straw.

They have rallied in the 2nd half though and now only trial 3-2.

s long as Rovers get stuffed by the Hornets I don't unduly care about the other matches.

FWIW I think Liverpool will struggle to get a result at Ajax, their injuries are mounting up, and who knows how they'll line up in defence due to the absence of Matip and VVD plus Alisson.

City should fare better at home to Porto.

And Bayern the holders have a tricky test against Atletico Madrid, that has the potential to be a banana skin for the Germans.

Lost a lot of interest in the Champions League since BT Sport took over. A terrible coverage, with terrible pundits and terrible commentators. Have a bit of an interest in the latter stages, but about it.

NEIGHbourhood watch.
For those concerned that our neighbours are going to have a decent season. Think on they still haven’t beaten anybody above Derby, who are lucky to have a point, and from 5 games four of them were against sides in the bottom half.

That's true and tonight will be a tough test for them, and they've also failed to score in their past 2 games Cardiff & Forest, I can't see them in relegation trouble, but equally I can't see them making the top 6, similar to last season I can see them finishing mid-table, which with their current resources is about par for the course, but no doubt their fans will quickly turn on TM, they are incredibly fickle, if they win a couple it's time to plan the promotion party, and if they lose a couple it's Mowbray out and all their players are rubbish.

This current campaign will be their 9th straight season outside the top flight, and there's many of their younger fans who'll have never seen them play a PL game, the longer they spend outside of the elite, the harder it'll be for them to cement their place should they eventually win promotion, and also the more they need to rely on the Venky's, even their most vocal fans now realise this fact.

Looking at Watford's line-up, they've kept good players and should bounce back up.

Gomez, yet again, looking a long way from an international defender.

Pleased to see Watford win but noticed that Troy Deeney didn't play again for them. What's going on with him, anybody know? It was assumed he'd leave when they got relegated but hasnt yet; on the other hand- he hasnt been playing for them.

Read a piece yesterday saying he was happy to stay and fight for promotion. This leads me to think he’s been injured.

Lancashire Blacburnegraph full of "Mowbray Out" 😂

Genuinely? Are they seriously wanting the best manager they've had in God knows how many years, out?

Crikey I didn't think they'd turn on him so quickly, if you look at their results so far, they're doing about as well as you'd expect.

They've lost to Bournemouth & Watford 2 of the relegated teams away from home. and to a last minute Forest goal.

They hammered Wycombe and had a good win at Derby, along with a creditable draw with Cardiff.

Their fans are deluded if they think anyone else could do a better job than Mowbray with that squad.

One note of caution though the Championship is very unpredictable, and with a fair wind they could yet mount a play-off challenge, I certainly wouldn't count them out after just 6 games.
