Wolves v Palace
Top of the table clash, I doubt many would have expected that at the start of the season.
Also in the Champ Reading can extend their lead at the top with victory at Coventry,

Podence looks more than half decent. Remember he stood out against us away in Piraeus. Makes you wonder if players like that could be within our reach if we pursued a different recruitment strategy. Alas, probably not.

Anyone see how Clyne played tonight?
He was within our budget (free) so thought we might’ve gone for him in the summer.

Can we now add Palace as one of our rivals this season?

Re: Wolves v Palace
Exactly he cost Wolves about £17m, plus no doubt his hefty salary, he was never going to be within our range, Wolves are shopping in a different level to us, and they have huge backing from their wealthy owners to enable them to do this, even in their Championship days their spending was immense.
Dark horses for the title? possibly they don't have any European distractions, which all the other contenders apart from Everton have to juggle.
They are definitely top 4 contenders on the evidence of the 1st handful of games, as for Palace they were poor tonight, and Milivojevic well miss the game against us now after his straight red, maybe our fortunes are changing for the better at last.
