That's a shame but this deeper seated distrust of foreign players runs deep
Stan even refused to play Dimi Pap who at the time was scoring for fun with Greece
He also didn't play the Padiham Predator because he wasnt local

Several overseas players have been recommended down the years. Granted scouts will generally know more about players than the average fan. But not always.

Aye, a friend of the wrong persuasion tried recommending Wilfried Bony to that lot when he was still at Sparta to no avail. Im less sad about that one lol
