He's favourite to win now.
I should think so after that, he's also got the youth demographic on his side I guess, and they're more likely to vote.

Mo up for the trial tomorrow about time he did something, he's one of the ones that's been hiding in the background.

Now that Jordan has shown he's capable he might get left alone for a few days and others might get tested.

It’s the only one of these programs I watch. Usually good entertainment.

Can’t see anyone else winning at this stage. Which is pretty good effort considering some of the names / characters in there. Although I actually quite like Russell Watson too.

Get the impression mo farah isn’t the brightest.

I don’t watch it, my wife would prefer a lobotomy, but I’ve had separate friends, not at all interested in football, send me clips following the show, some clips of the show and one of that geezer outside the Turf complaining to Granada about the pubs being shut.

Never known Burnley get as much air time.

Exactly, and the vast majority is positive.
He's certainly coming across as a really nice lad and a proper claret, so fair play and good luck to him.

A claret working in the national media, getting plenty of air time and spreading all things positive regards Burnley as a town and the Club can only be a good thing.

Just seen Dyche on TV from the press briefing. He really didn't want to join in the story, and for me went too far saying TM wasn't his happy place.

Yes, I didn't watch it, just read what he'd put, so unsure on the way he said it. But in print, it seemed a strange thing to say - almost as if to say, "Crikey, I'm nothing like happy when I'm here".

Yes I can imagine DC, my dad thought Jordan was wearing a Villa scarf when he saw him tonight, even though I've told him several times the lad is from Burnley. Mind you he's a Partick Thistle fan so what on earth would he know about footy.

He didn't say Turf Moor wasn't his happy place did he? That's not what he said. He said "If that's his special place then fair play to him, I have others of my own which are not Turf Moor". He also joked about how Jordan North would be banned from the stadium for not telling him he was going into the jungle, and that he hoped he did well.

Talk about spinning something not there.

Turf Moor is Sean Dyche's place of work. Are there any of us on here who would rate the place they go to work as our "happy place?"

Why does what you get paid matter? Your happy places are surely places that you spend your leisure time. Be that with friends, family, or doing things that you love. Go to your happy place.... oh I'll pick work, the place that I am under most pressure...... doesn't work does it? The whole reason Jordan Picked Turf Moor was to take him out of a pressure situation. He didn't pick the radio 1 studio, where he probably gets a 6 figure salary to present for a few hours every day. It's hardly moulding tyres in the Michelin family, or lumping Uniforms around at Simon Jersey - is it?

To be honest, I'm the first to back Dyche to the hilt, but that was way below the belt, and smacks of him wanting the sack to walk away with a pay-out, to give him time to find a new job as nothing there at the moment. Not good viewing at all, and this must/is rubbing off on the players considering his back room staff will be the same.

In fairness. As much as I get what you are saying. And yes it’s a pressure job. He’s earnt enough to live more than comfortably for the rest of his life. Doing what many people would do for a fraction of the money.

But he must absolutely love it. Managing football teams. At the top table in the worlds most loved league. In front of thousands of fans who adore him.

If he didn’t he’d be a pundit. Or live a quiet life.

So Dyche commenting on a Radio 1 DJ’s assertion that Turf Moor is happy place by pointing out that, a place where he spends the most stressful hours of his life, are not his happy place is a demonstration that he wants the sack. Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

That’s stretching it by even the wildest realms of the most fantastical imagination! I’ve yet to hear any manager in any interview ever say that being a football manager is a piece of p155 - it’s not. It’s their job. It’s not Jordan North’s job. So he can say it’s his happy place. It’s mine. I’m lucky, I enjoy my job, but I’d rather be at Turf Moor than my desk or on site.

9 months ago this gets met with howls of laughter. It’s contextual.

It would have cost him nothing and added a lot to say something supportive about what TM is to a lot of members of our community. There is a recent Subject on here that expressed it so well. We may need academic advice but to say something is not, in the context of this spontaneous burst of positivity sends a negative message. Not one of us so what is the point

Just watched the interview and think he handled that question badly.

Usually think he handles the press perfectly, but not today. It’s been a bit of fun around the club this week and brought some positivity. All Dyche needed to say is that he’s glad TM is Jordan’s happy place, that it’s a good reminder of what the club means to the fans and will try & put on a performance for them on Monday. Didn’t need to say it wasn’t his happy place, or if he did, contextualise it a bit.

Actually thought he was a bit aloof throughout, which is not normal.

Back on topic - saw Jordan wearing his scarf tonight!! Good lad!!

If you walked in to work as a senior manger and globally publicised you are not happy with where you work, you would be in the board room so fast. Its not about inner feelings, but more about conduct! I think you need to have a look at yourself

He didn’t say that he was unhappy at turf moor ffs.... he said it wasn’t his happy place, that he had “happy places” of his own. He did also back Jordan for picking it as his happy place.

I’m fortunate, I have a good job, with a really good company, that I genuinely enjoy.... ask me to talk about my happy place though and I’ll tell you it’s photographing wildlife in Kenya or Spitsbergen, or being at the racecourse With friends, having a bet, some drinks and loads of laughs. As Dyche said in the interview when talking about Frank Lampard, work becomes normalised, dream jobs, things you’ve wanted to do all your life, just become normal. Happy places tend to be places that provide things out of the norm.

I can understand a disagreement with what he said, but let’s not start making up stuff not there.

The things that upset people these days never ceases to amaze, life must be hard being so delicate.

For all those who are upset, how come none seem bothered that someone who is being paid by the BBC (something most people fund by the licence fee) aren’t upset that Jordan didn’t say his happy place was his place of work.

Of course all of those upset will admit that their own happy place is at their place of work

I watched an episode of this show, the first time since I dipped into it about 5 years ago. It was off the back of the Happy Place stuff.

I watched the bit where North, Vernon Kay and Liz McDonald had to eat stuff at a table. It was moronic. I can imagine thickos belly-laughing at it though.

Ant McPartland looks dead behind the eyes by the way. He’s was just going through the motions and he looks really depressed.

This series is heavily edited and I believe the programme makers have built a fully heated, covered film set inside the castle. Contestants are wandering around in t-shirts, no one complaining of the cold, no rainfall. The trials are loaded as well - just a few crickets and tame rats - nothing to upset the animal cruelty lobby.
A lightweight programme with a bunch of beige people determined to get along with each other.
