Come on UTD you can do it 🤣
They scraped through. WBA will be gutted.

Good news for us though.

I think the time has now passed where we are asking teams to lose. We do it, or we deserve to go down.

one of my strategies was to pick a team not playing today, that way I could not be in the first batch eliminated, job done, I've got further than some lol, tenuous I know but it's just me :P

I picked Villa as my obvious choice and one my second go went for Leicester today at Liverpool, knowing Liverpool's injury worries and wanting to keep them for later rounds, could be a massive mistake and both entries gone on the same weekend

It would have been a very short competition if Manchester United hadn't won ..

Let me guess. 100% of entires still in after this weekend will pick Man City next week.

Cough cough “I would love it, if we beat (or draw) them, love it”

Not a chance! Just once I made the mistake of holding an accumulator bet that included Burnley to lose, I have never since, nor ever will, bet against the Clarets again; possibly the worst match I ever watched.

I won’t either. No chance of me selecting Man City next week.

I don’t do it myself either. But can see the logic in putting £5 on Burnley to lose, £5 a draw. If Burnley then win you’ve paid £10 for the 3 points.

They'll be sent out to those who are through on Tuesday morning but the fixtures are

Arsenal v Wolves
Brighton v Liverpool
Chelsea v Tottenham
Crystal Palace v Newcastle
Everton v Leeds
Leicester v Fulham
Manchester City v Burnley
Southampton v Manchester United
West Brom v Sheffield United
West Ham v Aston Villa

I’ll be sending out emails later today to those who are still in. I know some have already sent in their teams for week 2. If so just ignore the email when it arrives.

All the emails should have gone out now - please quote this post if you haven't received it.

I'm going to confirm that I've gone for Leicester this week. Given that I have the advantage of seeing all the entries, I think it is only right that I post my selection publicly ahead of most of them coming in.

I have learn my lesson to NEVER bet against a team like Burnley that can get a result on any given week - or play crap in a 'easy' game and lose.

I am going with Palace this week :) - though that may change as I look at the fixtures. I've already equalled my best ever run in a LMS so don't look at me for good info

if Leicester fail to win, that will see a real decimation of players for next round.

I had expected more to go for Liverpool to be honest.

I expected very few to take that route, simply not in me to bet against them, so for example if I continue to progress I think BFC as my pick will be much later, yet yes there were so many that made that choice. :o

understand that but Villa are not Liverpool and look at last week versus Leicester, injuries didn't seem to make a lot of differences then, today was luck more than anything IMO. Yet, we take our chances and see where they fall.
