Someone pasted a thread about the utterly pointless “masked singer” the other day...

Monkey tennis? That really is where we are at now.

We really are scraping the barrel now with tv and the people on it who are called “stars”. They are so desperate to remain relevant and in the public domain they will do absolutely ANYTHING to keep their mugs on the telly...

You are absolutely spot on here. What annoys me is people who pretend to do things for charity. They don't give a flying seahorse about what they are raising money for, so long as they are paid.

I can pretty much understand why people will watch almost anything, apart from Eastenders. It baffles me how anyone could sit through an episode of what’s essentially a PG rated, lo-rent gangster film

was watching classic coronation street today with some priceless one liners with the late, great roy barraclough.

There's something for everyone.

Both awful. The same re-hashed jokes from his old podcast. The Office and Extras were great, but everything he did after those was terrible IMO

Too nuanced for you Steve. The gag is that we all KNOW the joke is about Mrs Slocombes pussy. It’s how long the screenwriters and cast make you wait for it so it becomes excruciating ... that’s the key. It’s old Brian Rix west end drop your trousers farce brought to TV.

I very rarely watch TV but I caught a glimpse the other day of some chat show type woman interviewing some guy about Louise Redknapp's appearance on "The Masked Dancer" and the gist of the conversation was "OMG, we had no idea it was her". My first thought was how can you possibly expect to know it's her, and isn't that literally the point of the whole show, she was wearing a mask and full body costume FFS
