Team Vs Palace
Given it looks like half of the squad is injured again this will be my lineup.
Pope
Lowton, Tarks, Mee, Taylor
Benson, Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil
Jay Rod, Wood
Not really a lot else we can do, apart from maybe Barnes for benson.

Re: Team Vs Palace
I'd take out Benson and play Taylor, McNeil and Barnes all down the left. I reckon this would be the last thing they'd expect and we could well be a couple of goals up before they work out how to deal with it and adjust

Can't see any of them playing. Certainly not Stephens or Brady.Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 2:37 pmStephens out Hammy, Brady tight Hammy, JBG calf issues...hmmm
Re: Team Vs Palace
Is Pieters fit? With Zaha playing on the left for Palace I'd be tempted to play him on the right. Lowton or Bardsley are going to need all the help they can get. And Jay has to start ahead of Barnes.
Re: Team Vs Palace
Isn't Taylor an injury doubt?
Re: Team Vs Palace
Remember Brownhill playing great on WR at Palace last season and totally nullified Zaha

Does it? I read about 20 minutes ago that it'll be a late fitness test but looking likely he'll be ready to play.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:29 pmIt looks like pieters might be playing left back instead of taylor

A point from this game would be great given the injuries

Can't see Benson starting under Dyche
Peiters to start WR if Taylor fit
Otherwise he goes LB and Jay starts WR

Re: Team Vs Palace
Reads as though Taylor likely to start. No surprise JBG and Brady injured again. Their bodies evidently aren’t up to playing at this level of football anymore.
Re: Team Vs Palace
Why are JBG and Brady allowed to go on international duty when their fitness is so ‘fragile’? It just doesn’t make sense and may be a major factor if we are relegated this season.

Re: Team Vs Palace
Down to the bare bones again. I'd opt for the following line-up, assuming they're fit.
Pope
Lowton Tarks Mee Taylor
Pieters? Brownhill Westwood McNeil
Jay Wood
The other option is to play Josh on the right, and bring Benson into centre-mid, but I doubt Sean will do that, Jay has to replace Barnes, this is one of the areas where we do have options, so we need to start making use of them, it might even be worth considering Jay in the number 10 role for this game, it might not work, but nothing else we've tried this season has worked, so why not try something different.
The injuries only highlight our lack of options on the right, and sadly it doesn't come as a surprise anymore, Brady & JBG are made of tissue paper, time to clear the decks at the end of this season, and shift out the dead wood.
Agree that Brady looked lively in the Ireland games, indeed he was arguably their best player, and with a stroke of fortune he'd have scored a worldie, however that's cold comfort if he's not able to play for us on his return.

Re: Team Vs Palace
I think Dyche is more likely to play a semi injured Taylor or Pieter's then play Benson.
If one of them doesn't make it it will be Rodriguez wide right.
Even Vydra would play on the wing ahead of Benson at all.

You think a semi injured Taylor would be picked to play wide right before Benson ?
I know you are down on Dyche and like a dig but that is just thick

Re: Team Vs Palace
He'll play Pieters right wing if Taylor is fit and Pieters left back if he isn't.
Not down on Dyche at all. I just think he'll pick a first team player ahead of a youth prospect even if they are still not 100%. He's already said this season he's had to rush players back sooner than he would normally do because of the squad situation.
