What day is it today then?

Post by CaptainKirk » Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:08 pm

Love Actually Day

In celebration of one of my favourite films. Not Christmas without this film (and It's a Wonderful Life of course).

Great film, I usually watch it at Christmas, although I have been known to randomly watch it during the year.

It's also "inside out day" and my grandchildren wore their clothes inside out at school.

Strange sight when they appeared to meet grandad at 3 o'clock.

Not really one for all the Christmas films / rom coms but if I had to pick a couple to watch, it’d be Love Actually and The Holiday.

I think he could be stressed as there are Klingons on the starboard bow.

Good of 'Burnley 1989' to remind us all what Christmas is really about. The clue is in the name of title for Christmas and that there would be no relevance to this time of the year without him.

If you liked Love Actually I find it hard to believe you have not seen those others.
But if you are serious, you are lucky because you now get to watch them and I am sure you will enjoy them all.

They've just never appealed to me, 3 of them anyway.

I don't think I've ever seen mention of This Years Love before today.

Leighton James debut day ! Top player for us, indeed he'd be a useful addition to our current squad.

"What day is it?"

I know it's not 'bin day' which is the only day that I can reference things to these days ;)

I prefer love actually on dvd/recording, then I can run on the bits with the annoying American woman who doesn't get it on with the Spanish looking guy. That storyline drags the rest of it down otherwise.

Did you know the girl who plays Mia ,the one after Alan Rickman, is German. Just a bit of movie trivia. Heike Makatsch.
