Re: Today's Footy
Stupid from Pepe, he's left his teammates up against it now.
Re: Today's Footy
I'm sensing another last minute goal from Leeds, they get plenty.

Re: Today's Footy
Leeds just got away with a handball in the area!
By recent PL standards it was stonewall......the game is shot.

Surprised that didn’t deserve more review time to be honest.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 6:14 pmLeeds just got away with a handball in the area!

Re: Today's Footy
Leeds should have won today. Think they'll stay up comfortably.

Re: Today's Footy
I thought if the ball hits the arm it's now a penalty ?
But what do I know.
But what do I know.

Re: Today's Footy
Decent point for Arsenal in the circumstances, Leeds will probably feel that's 2 points dropped, I do agree that Leeds will stay up relatively comfortably, I'm not certain they'll break into the top 10 this season though.

Re: Today's Footy
Arteta was outclassed there. He had a better squad of players at his disposal but just didn’t have an answer to the way Leeds played. The sending off didn’t change much, in some ways it may have saved Arsenal a point because I think they were more for the taking 11v11.

Re: Today's Footy
If the penalty had been missed it would have been retaken - but this wasn't missed as there was an infringement by the taker which negated the VAR check for encroachment.

Re: Today's Footy
Have I just heard correctly that David Coote, who was the referee who failed to penalise Pickford for his challenge on Van Dyke, was supposed to be the VAR in tonight’s game but was re-assigned due to his involvement in that game against Everton 5 weeks ago? What an absolute joke.

Re: Today's Footy
Klopp will be smiling 3-0 Liverpool, this is a big statement given the amount of regulars they are missing, I thought Leicester would give them a real test today, and the Foxes have been swatted aside.

Re: Today's Footy
The VAR can intervene in one of the following instances:
- A clear and obvious error by the on-field match officials relating to goalkeeper movement
- A double touch by the penalty-taker
- Feigning at the point of the kick by the taker
- Encroachment by players that has a direct impact on the outcome of the kick
Re: Today's Footy
Ha! You do get unnecessarily excited!
I will quietly point out that prior to the kick taking place, Everton players were dashing into the area, en masse.
Technically, the referee should stop the taker and send them packing.
Time is short, so that is not possible, in most cases. So had he scored, no issue. As he didn't, the infringement occurred prior to his double kick. Nothing to do with VAR. All to do with everyday refereeing of rule 14.
No need to respond, further and calm down. Shouting doesn't change anything.
It wasn't against us, so dinnae worry.
