La Liga throwing up some surprises this season

Just checking the La Liga scores, and I noticed real Sociedad won again, they currently have a 3 point advantage over unbeaten Atletico, who have 2 games in hand, in addition they've each won their last 5 league games, Villarreal and Real played out a 1-1 draw yesterday and are 3rd and 4th respectively.

Where are Barcelona I hear you ask, well after yet another defeat yesterday they are down in 11th place, and although they have 2 games in hand on the leaders it's just 1 win in 5 for them in the league, seemingly the off-field problems are impacting their performances on the pitch.

So this unique season isn't just causing havoc amongst the PL big guns it's also causing havoc amongst the usual suspects in Spain, long may it continue I say it's great fun to see genuine competition for a change instead of the usual procession of either Barca or Real.
