Great to secure the first win, should really have seen them off at start of second half but we do enjoy a backs to the wall battle. Mee and Tarks improved as the game went on.

Big relief.
We played ok.
Wood and Jay both played well and gave there defence loads of problems. Our wide players look either low on confidence or not fully fit - it’s a problem as we are lacking creativity and pace.

We were fortunate Zaha did not play even though Eze did cause us a fair few problems he rarely threatened to score himself whereas Zaha has been scoring and assisting plenty this season. They are still massively reliant on Zaha.

Started well but a very frantic second half. Good job Zaha wasn't playing for them. That's possibly the luck we needed but far from convincing.

A typical Burnley performance in many ways, but imo we look a bit too open in midfield and aren't winning the second balls nearly as much as we once did. Previously it would always have been a bit harem scarum, but crumbs, it was never that bad!! We really were backs to the wall, against a decent, but not amazing side for large parts of the second half after JBG failed to score. But we came through and hopefully it will bring the confidence back and we can kick on. It's such a shame that our annual 5-0 drubbing is coming up on Saturday as we have just got the engine back on the rails!!
Re Dwight: I think he's struggling because he's not a surprise package anymore and teams have started planning to nullify him AND to make him track back more, where he 1. isn't the best defender ( ) and 2. he can't hurt the opposition. It's a tough one for Dyche tbh and if he rests him, what's the alternative? MAYBE Pieters to left back and Taylor wide left?? Maybe.
