I was rather hoping for a plane with Farnell is a w@nker banner trailing from it to deflect from the performance.

Apparently his wife tried to hire one! ;)

Lowts our best player today ? Wow.

I know the match was over but I’m really struggling to understand how for the final goal that Foden is just stood there on his own with no Burnley player anywhere near him when he is found by De Bruyne (?). I know City are full of wonderfully gifted players but don’t make it even easier for them by not doing the very basics of defending.
I actually think it's because Tarks, under no pressure at all plays (another) awful ball straight to a city player and one good pass then leaves (the admittedly woeful) Lowton totally stranded.

Dififcult watch as it's become in this fixture in the last four seasons but I think some of the marks are really harsh given who we were playing against.
Yes, they're a v.good side. However, it seems to be only us of similar-sized clubs who go there and keep getting thumped 5-0 season on season.

All 5 except Benson 6

Team appeared very strange as though manager had written off the match beforehand and just wanted to stick to the norm set up using players needing time.

Against Man City, they pass you to death, so a denser midfield required than our 2 plus 2. De Bruyne had a field day - they all did.

Benson did well on his debut. The rest as expected.
Managers responsibility this time - was he right? We will know next week.

All 4 - including Benson - just because hes 20 and his debut people think he 'did well' - he didnt do well - we got beat 5-0 - none of them did 'well'

McNeil was our only player worth giving a mark the rest not worthy

Lowton as others have said is not fit to wear the shirt, the midfield bar McNeil is woeful and has been all this season

We are desperate for a fit Cork and some money invested in this squad before its to late

it really was difficult to watch, certainly the worst I seen Tark's play from what I can remember, McNeil I thought was much better than the previous couple of matches, what a horrible day for BPF to make a debut, I expect Nick to tell him, look, it's been the same for me for the last few times so you have nothing to worry about and he isn't scarred by it.

I really don't want to give actual scores but McNeil would be my man of the match, one to forget and move on, good news is, I don't think it can get worse so it is almost as if it can only get better from this.
i just saw a generous donation to Clarets Foodbank, if that was you kudos.
