Post by summitclaret » Sun Nov 29, 2020 10:48 am

Need to sort above for someone in Burnley. Any advice on best place to go and likely cost would be appreciated.

Not 100% sure on cost but there is a shop on Colne Rd next to the KFC which is great.

Or the place on the market, or across from Primark.

Do it yourself, research & learn, rip it apart & put it back together if it doesn’t work persist until it does work, I do that regular sometimes even voiding the warranty if something goes wrong I want to know why it’s gone wrong & I want to fix it for myself.

I replaced the screen on my old iPhone 5 a few years back. Bought the kit off ebay and watched a youtube video.

If you’ve ever changed a laptop screen it’s basically the same type of thing. But incredibly fiddly.

Will be expensive on an iPhone 7. And probably more money than it’s worth.

Samsung’s are worse. Think the s8 cost me £200. 🤮🤮🤮

The part is about £15 on eBay & the repair can be done in about 5 mins with the right tools, obviously sending off to Apple will take a lot longer & I guess more expensive. Reading up Apple would want more than £150

I’ve had my screen replaced about 3 times due to smashing it.

£20 quid a go at my local phone shop
