Always a pleasant bloke on the several occasions I got to meet him.

I also met him once and spent a morning with him. He was philosophical about them using someone else's voice whilst he strutted around in the Vader costume as he had such a strong west country twang and even he said it would have sounded wrong! He also said that he was once invited to dine at the White House with other members of the cast and Ronald Reagan couldn't stop laughing at his real voice. He did point out that he couldn't be too grumpy about the whole voice thing either because it paid EXTREMELY well!! He was a really nice guy.

Had the pleasure of meeting the big fella at the Turf a couple of years ago at the Star Wars Day they hold every year.
Spoke to him for a good 10mins and even asked about Burnley FC ,managed to snap a picture with my son as well
