She gave us folk devils and moral panics to love or hate. We are told what's in and what's out, whose trendy and whose not by a fire storm of social media trivial diatribe.
She took a stand when others ignored the content on tv that some saw as highly inappropriate. It's still a debate going on today as more and more programmes are poured out on tv that the subject matter and content is just to some, wrong.

I'm not convinced that media is responsible for most sexual crimes (there will be exceptions). Indeed I wonder if the reverse is the case. Has the massive increase in accessibility to porn via the internet actually reduced sexual crime? I don't think sexual crimes have increased accordingly anyway. The likes of Savile et al would have occurred anyway.
