Should we bring Howe back
It’s clear that (Man City aside) we will always be hard to break down under Dyche. And that always gives us the point to defend.
But we have to admit we don’t look like creating anything if McNeil is stopped or we don’t get set pieces. I think we only had one corner yesterday.
With Howe out of work who obviously still likes us given media comments, should we look to opt for a joint management team?
It’s worked plenty of times for other teams. And we would be unstoppable at one end and unbreakable at the other.
Plus if the takeover happens Howe can definitely spot good young attacking players.

Re: Should we bring Howe back
Probably a fishing attempt but I'll bite and say that the idea of SD agreeing to "share power" with another manager is as likely as Nigel Farage and Michel Barnier releasing an album of Christmas duets.

Theyd be a good partnership, maybe with Stan as Director of Football

There’d be some real bottom lip trembling going on if that naughty boy Howe darkened our door again. Probably worth him coming back just to witness the meltdown.

Cricketfield fishes far too often. To do a real fishing trip you need to do it hardly ever, so people aren't expecting it.

Sounds good, Stan, Sean and Eddie. I'd like to see a role for Waddle and Roeder as well, if the budget allows.

Certainly did well in his scouting role. Took Robertson to hull . That’s criminal. Stan lives within spitting distance of the ground ffs.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:16 amTheyd be a good partnership, maybe with Stan as Director of Football

Should we bring Howe back ?
Of course... NOT !
Currently, we have the longest serving Premier League Manager, and one of the longest serving managers in England. IMHO he is the best that we've had in 40+ years, so WHY the regular calls to change?

Re: Should we bring Howe back
Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves with that. We will be spending around 5 million a year on it now so it needs to produce regular talents.
What would the budget have been under Howe and the charlatan? 500k?

Re: Should we bring Howe back
Obviously Howe wouldn't come back but maybe Duff could come into the fold and convince Dyche to play a better brand of football.

Would bring him back to Burnley, but to manage the cricket team. I can all see you asking "Howes that !"

Re: Should we bring Howe back
Considering Stan was Hull's Chief Scout at the time, it would have been " criminal " of him to tip Burnley off ahead of his employers !!cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:20 amCertainly did well in his scouting role. Great post although you should be mindful that some people are going through stressful times and a suggestion like this could tip them over the edgecricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:10 amIt’s clear that (Man City aside) we will always be hard to break down under Dyche. Whilst it’s not riveting watching us defend 90% of the time I hated the kamikaze defending of the Howe era which just ruined most games for me.
