[/img]Hello everybody and welcome to this week’s intercontinental TFC. You can tell it’s intercontinental because the pics seem to be sideways. Turn your screen around

In a move that may delight, dismay and confuse both seasoned count veterans and newbies alike, none of us have a clue what’s in this tin because I’ve never had it either. The question is, just how big or small is the dice? The Hatch Green Chile is a large chile, about the size of a banana, so how they’ve processed this we will see. Will I still be counting the darned things this time next week, who knows?!

Note that it’s a small tin. I’ve pictured it next to an egg just so you can see how it compares in size to....an egg!

Some background : Hatch is a town 30 miles north of here on the banks of the Rio Grande which provides the water for 1000s of growing acres of these giant chiles. It’s a protected name (like champagne). Picking season is July and if you go past then you keep your car windows closed because the air is so peppery.

Tarkys_ears (perhaps because of his renowned chile expertise) wins with 260!
