The Lorry Drivers...... they come in for some stick time to time but we'd be up Sh!t creek without them working all hours while we sleep. Got to feel for em stuck in miles of tailbacks at ports while trying to earn a few Bob....filling our shelves with food and goods.....For Now at least. Well done that profession of men and women!

Can’t believe how France are treating them to be honest. Utterly disgraceful. With them all a speedy and safe journey home when they finally let them out.

Nice to think about honest working folk rather than the ubiquitous self obsessed ' celebrities' we get rammed down our throats.

We live 13 miles from Manston where there are now 800 parked up at the former Kent International Airport. Just been on the local news that there are only 76 toilets there - French government have apparently agreed that EU nationals will be permitted to travel back from midnight. There are thousands of lorries on the M20 too - a right bloody mess.

They should organise the queue carrying

1. British produce that’s time sensitive.
2. Drivers carrying uk produce
3. Drivers that have done UK drop off
4 Drivers using UK as transit route

4. The landbridge to Ireland could soon be no more. New Ferry routes have already been laid on to France and Rotterdam.

It will take much longer - 41 hours on the ferry. (9 hours from Horwich) France will need to spend a huge amount upgrading the roads from Cherbourg, especially as lorries try to avoid the expensive toll roads.

Poor Ireland, once again they will suffer.
