Boxing Day 2020
Boxing Day 2020
Normally about this time we would be heading to the Turf (or maybe we would be somewhere on way to an away match if we had tickets) or in the Pub enjoying a post Christmas pint wearing a crap christmas jumper to join in our local traditon....
Heres hoping 2021 brings us all together to support the team we all love (and sometimes hate to love when things go wrong) so I raise a Boxing day glass to Clarets everywhere...... Cheers to Clarets everywhere

Re: Boxing Day 2020
I put the bins out about 8am and it’s the first time I’ve been really gutted about lockdown over xmas, Boxing Day has always been my favourite day of the year. Had an 8 mile walk with a rucksack and a few little IPAs I got yesterday.

Re: Boxing Day 2020
Christmas day didn't feel any different to normal. Went to the in laws for dinner which we normally do.
Today and the next few days will be the big difference when we would normally meet other family and friends.

Re: Boxing Day 2020
My last day of self isolation, with my Covid symptoms now gone.
Spent the best part of the day rolling about under my Discovery 3 project replacing the CV boots on the front driveshafts.
I’ve been quietly working my way through a box of Singha I have in the shed whilst playing outside, this may have hampered progress somewhat...
Inside in the warm now, ready to crack open some Champagne and a Camembert

Re: Boxing Day 2020
Thanks BC can’t beat steak and wine for dinner, a meal for champions.
Currently rounding off festivities with CE Jr watching a couple of Turtles (teenage mutant ninja variety) episodes before his bedtime.
Looking forward to running, Halfords, gym and beer shopping tomorrow.

Re: Boxing Day 2020
I felt things were more affected today than yesterday.
Xmas Day itself was great for us - daughter had the time of her life, we had a proper meal, a few drinks, a few Zoom chats. Obviously not the same but made the best of it. The sun being out helped too.
Today however has been miserable. A trip to the pub for a feast of football with friends before and after the Burnley game is a well worn ritual on Boxing Day and I really missed that. Went out for a walk earlier, and it was grey, dreary and dark. Wasn’t going to drink but having a few glasses of red.
Feel for those who have had it tough this year - we’ve been reasonably lucky and still finding it a drag. Onwards and upwards.
