Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
That is a ******* disgraceful decision by VAR. I can understand the ref missing it but the ball clearly came off Popes shin.

He got the f****** ball! Ridiculous.
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Clearly won the ball. What a load of rubbish. Football is almost a non- contact sport these days. Nonsense
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Caught out with the long ball embarrassing way for Burnley to concede against Leeds.

Fcn BS.
Pope wins the ball.
We can’t reverse the decision because it’s not clear and obvious. Absolute Bs

Commentators on my stream thought the penalty would be overturned, and so did I.
Pope seemed to get the ball.

Penalty all the way. He got the ball but took the man out, always going to be a penalty in today's game.

Commentator still saying Pope got the ball. VAR is a complete joke and it's time it was scrapped.

Who is doing VAR? That might explain the wrong decision.

Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
It wouldn't have been given if it was the Leeds goalie making that save
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Paddy Power were offering evens for Bamford to have one shot on target. Too good of an offer to turn down sadly.

Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
We need more composure on the ball. Too much hit and run.
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Clearly got ball first.
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
It’s a good omen going down so early - we’ll grind them down now and win this

Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
If a defender made that tackle out of the box it would be lauded but because a goal keeper made it, Ref gives a pen.
Don’t normally argue against pens as think you can view it through claret glasses but that was not a pen

COME ON SUPER BURNLEY
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Stop wetting your knickers about VAR. Theres not a chance in hell that Bamford should be getting between Mee and Tarkowski to be through on goal from a long ball punt.
That’s what’s cost us.

If it was a foul how come Pope didn't get sent off?

Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
There are situations when yes that’s true but popes tackle sent the ball in completely the opposite direction - so let’s say he hadn’t collided with Bamford after he played the ball, there was still no chance of him getting close to the ball. No penalty.ClaretCraig wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:07 pmPenalty all the way. He got the ball but took the man out, always going to be a penalty in today's game.

Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Isn't it one or the other, or have they packed that rule in?Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:13 pmIf it was a foul how come Pope didn't get sent off?
Re: Leeds versus MIGHTY CLARETS
That would be a decent argument if games were decided on chances created.
They're not.
