Best wishes CT, hope all is well with you, and you get some peace on the board, also thanks for you and the mods hard work and patience, it is much appreciated.
Here's to 2021 and hopefully some return to normality, and people attending on the turf soon.

I can't believe you're editing posts that object to censorship, at least have the decency to either let the original post stand or delete it completely. I was behind this forum 100% until tonight, what's going on?

Maybe try reading the sticky at the top. There aren’t too many rules yet. The last four days on this board have been horrendous.kritichris wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 12:53 amhappy New Year

I have read it and have never attacked you or the Mods and fully appreciate running a forum, I've done it myself but I think you are over reacting against some posters who support this forum but whose views may not entirely align with your own, which for the record, mine did until tonight.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:02 amMaybe try reading the sticky at the top. Nothing about views or opinions at all, it’s about questioning the running of the board. The last four days have been horrendous, I’m at the end of my tether with it and I’ve come very close to shutting it down.kritichris wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:10 amI have read it and have never attacked you or the Mods and fully appreciate running a forum, I've done it myself but I think you are over reacting against some posters who support this forum but whose views may not entirely align with your own, which for the record, mine did until tonight.

Happy New Year Tony. I’ll keep trying to do my best to help by not being a knob on here too much, I need this forum in my life, more so since the isolation of the previous year (has it really gone now?)

If you cant cope with it, pass it on to someone else. This aint about you. It's about the board and its contributors.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:13 amNothing about views or opinions at all, it’s about questioning the running of the board. You're a credit and a fellow claret. You've helped create the online forum to what it is from previous boards to this one. But if it is making you miserable then leave it.
We posters should be free to post what we want, in moderation of course.

What a crying shame that a thread entitled Happy New Year has taken this turn.diamondpocket wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:24 amIf you cant cope with it, pass it on to someone else. This aint about you. It's about the board and its contributors.

1 I am struggling to cope with it right now.
2 I have no intention of passing it on.
3 It is about me, I created it.
4 If it continues like this I will leave it. It will close.
One of the lads who helps with moderating texted me tonight and said it’s no longer enjoyable coming on here. He’s right, it’s not. And if things don’t change I can assure you it will go.

Re: Happy New Year
Happy New Year all - bit of a boring NYE this year and I've had to leave the living room as my mother and missus are both too p****d to be in the company of!
A few tunes on the headphones on youtube and I'll be off to bed in a min.
Looking forward to getting a better year in 2021 (not holding my breath though) and starting with 3 points on Sunday!

Happy New Year to all clarets.
This board has been fantastic since replacing Clarets Mad which was horrendous to use. CT didn’t like Clarets Mad so he took the initiative in setting this board up. Good Job.
Anybody who doesn’t like this board always has the option to go and set their own board up where they can discuss what they like. Personally I prefer this board to be purely BFC and football related. UTC

Re: Happy New Year
Happy New Year to everyone. Its been a horrible year for me in more ways than ever, as I know it has for many fellow clarets. Here's hoping we all see things improve and get back to some form of normality. Let's all start 2021 by respecting each other and keep this board going, it's been a life saver for me at times. Take care everyone, look after yourself and keep positive.

Absolutely spot on.
Thanks, Tony, don't give up - there's been a marked improvement in standards over the past couple of weeks. It won't be long before the penny drops. Stick to your guns for a while longer.

Re: Happy New Year
Happy New Year from a VERY cold north-west Lake District.
Just a polite word to those few people who knowingly sabotage threads - stop it! This board is the only way some of us can keep in touch with news from Turf Moor, and with other Clarets, in these difficult times. This is perhaps particularly so for those like me who live away.
Let's not jeopardise the future of Up The Clarets.

Forums should moderate themselves the only intervention you’ll ever see is when potential litigation is on offer, happy new year to each & everybody associated with the club.diamondpocket wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:24 amIf you cant cope with it, pass it on to someone else. Happy New Year to all you Clarets.
I hope this forum doesn’t close as its the best place for information on all things BFC. Especially for those of us not living in the town or have any other Claret supporting friends to discuss footy related stuff with, and even more so at this time when we aren’t allowed to visit anywhere.

Re: Happy New Year
I can only echo the posters above, it would be a shame if this forum was to close as it's one of the few BFC outlets on the web, and it's a small minority who for reasons known only to themselves want to engage in stupidity and childish bickering, I must admit I did used to get drawn into these spats, but thankfully I've now learned to ignore any such nonsense, it has helped that many of the more controversial topics have been shelved, and if the mods and CT want to make this a football only board then that's fine by me, this may help deter those posters who clearly only want to start arguments and disrupt this great resource, don't forget they all give up their time freely to keep this board running, and we should remember that and applaud their efforts not make their task harder.
