Michael Olise

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Sat Jan 02, 2021 8:00 pm

Don’t shoot the messenger, but i have just been text that Burnley are chasing him this window.
Don’t know much about the player but from the obligatory YouTube videos he looks decent.

Release clause shouldn't now be a problem... it's whether there are other interested parties or not. We are still going to be the lowest bidders and the lowest payers, so i suppose it comes down to the quality of the omelette...

Certainly seems to fit the age and position we are looking to fill.

I got mocked when I suggested his name the other day.

Apparently according to some people we have no chance bc rumours are some big clubs want him.

Would be ideal on the right with Dwight 9n the left.

Rapid, direct, can take a good free kick and only about 19
Broke in to reading squad end if last season.

Wether this is true or not, I’d see Burnley as an ideal move for this type of player, rather than sitting on a bench constantly or not even making the squad at a top club, these types could use us as a stepping stone to bigger things.

I believe he can play in a number of different positions as well.

LW, RW, attacking midfielder

Sean likes a certain character regardless of skill etc. I just hope Olise a jolly good fellow.

I had a look at him earlier when he was mentioned in the ALK first signing thread.

Looks incredibly skilful, deceptively quick. Very young and cheap! Just what we need!!

Bit lightweight though. Needs to get in the gym with BPF. Could be a top player in a few years so I’d be well up for it but not sure he’s physically ready to come in and be a starter yet.

How reliable’s this source Newcastleclaret93?

To be taken with a pinch of salt as all transfer rumours are but he was absolutely spot on with the Vydra transfer a while back.

I read that. Don’t recall you getting “mocked” though.....bit dramatic.

Only know this lad from YouTube clips. Looks decent but doesn’t play that regularly for Reading in the Championship.

Might be wrong but I think he has started something like 19 of the 23 games.
Worth noting he’s only just broke into the team at back end of last season.

22 games out of 23 this season.
16 started.
1482 minutes suggests otherwise

Only said that because I have watched Reading a few times on the tv this season and not noticed him and the 2 or 3 times I have checked if he’s been playing recently he has been on the bench. I must have bad timing..
