To those of you trying this have you also tried fasting?
I started on Keto last Sunday and also started fasting overnight from 8pm til 8am. In that time I’ve lost 5kg but I’ve also managed (after a few days of struggling at first) to now fast from 8pm til noon without any hunger pangs. I still drink water overnight and allow myself 2 cups of tea in the morning between 8am and noon but I’m surprised at how easy I find it to last until lunchtime without food.
I’d got into really bad habits of eating in the evening once the kids were in bed and was essentially eating the equivalent of a 4th meal each day, now I seem to be happy with just 2.
Keep up the good work

Intermittent fasting has a few benefits but agree with it is worth doing from my experience.

16:8 is how I try and eat now even though I’m not on Keto currently. We went onto Gusto when lockdown came last year which has made it much easier to feed the family.

Once we get through this pandemic and return to normal- I will be back on it for sure.

Well, I am not doing Keto, but I have lost (as of this morning) 12.4lbs since January 1st.

What am I eating? A ham sandwich at dinner (that's right...a SANDWICH! :o ) and a Hello Fresh meal (the weekly food subscription boxes) for my tea. I work from home since Covid started so go for a walk at dinner with my dog - that's literally it.

I am sure it will slow down substantially soon enough, but finding it a doddle so far and the Hello Fresh meals are really filling, lot of choice each week too.

Fallen off the wagon recently, but it’s astonishing how much your appetite reduces on keto. It’s not for everyone, but I lost weight on it and felt a lot better generally.

I am also fasting 20.00 till 12.00 and not really struggling. My appetite has reduced massively. So far, still feeling quite strong, not even tempted to stray yet.

1st 2lbs off since the 4th Jan which I’m pleased with

I've never tried any specialised diets or calorie counting, although it sounds like the Keto diet is working for a lot of people.

Might sound obvious but I always think exercise automatically improves your food choices. I would go on regular runs so I would find it a waste of time putting myself through the aches and pains only to pile the extra calories I lost back on by eating junk food.

I also cut out any fizzy/fruit drinks with high sugar and replaced it with water instead.

I always allow myself a cheat day once a week as something to look forward to.

I never needed to completely cut out carbs, I just replaced bad carbs with good carbs (i.e. eating whole meal products).

Just a few small lifestyle changes can go a long way.
