Cold weather payments
Unsurprisingly our area has qualified for a cold weather payment of £25. The payment is automatic for anyone who qualifies.
Good news for anyone struggling with money and hasn't been putting the heating on. Anyone with friends or family in this situation please let them know they will be getting it so they can get the house warm.

Re: Cold weather payments
We had a discussion on this before Christmas and this should not be confused with the Winter Fuel Allowance paid to everyone over a certain age.
Quickenthetempo is correct in saying that payment is automatic and will be paid in the same way as you receive benefits.
Below is from the gov website
You may get Cold Weather Payments if you’re getting:
Pension Credit
Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Universal Credit
Support for Mortgage Interest

Re: Cold weather payments
Due to the Pandemic I am stuck in the Philippines on lockdown and have been since March 2020 with no flights allowed out to get me home.
While I am here I have someone going into my home in England to keep the heating on enough to make sure that the house is warmed up so that I have no problems there during the cold weather
So is that ok with you guys?

I can install you a Hive so you can control your heating from your phone or laptop for 18000 Phillipino Peso that will give your heating switcher a rest.
