CT was in a meeting and has only just seen this but the only players I've seen us sign from Chelsea are Colin Waldron and Jim Thomson other than the more recent three loans. We also signed Billy Gray from them in the 1950s but he was a winger.

YES-one of our first major signings (at least it was for Burnley). What a great piece of scouting.Frank was our "fox in the box".Great goal scorer

On the subject of Billy Gray - we sold him to Nottingham Forest after four years at Burnley. He went on to also become their groundsman.

Billy passed away on the day of the Nottingham Forest v Burnley game in 2010/11 when a minute's silence was observed.

John Talbut made his debut for West Brom at Burnley and scored an own goal in the opening minutes - sadly passed away last year.

Mick Doc was only 15 or 16 when he came to Burnley and we didn't sign him from Chelsea although he'd been there as a schoolboy when his dad was manager. He sent him to us.
