Where will the FA Cup shocks be
I know this is tough because you can never be certain which clubs will field strong sides or not, but the following look ripe for a giant killing to me.
Chorley-Derby (for all the reasons stated on the other thread)
Blackpool-West Brom (I doubt the cup is high on BFS list of priorities, and the Pool are in good form ATM)
Bristol Rovers-Sheff Utd (The Blades confidence must be at rock bottom, and the last thing they need is a tricky 3rd round tie)
Exeter-Sheff Wed (Exeter are a decent side, and the top scorers in League 2 by a mile, I can see them causing the Owls plenty of problems)
Newport-Brighton (Newport have history of shocks in recent seasons, and Brighton may rest a few, Rodney Parade is never easy to visit at any time, let alone in the depths of winter)
That's the 5 that I'd pick, but I'll probably be wrong as usual

As long as there isn't one at Turf Moor I'll be happy.

You can never be certain in this competition, but I think we'll be ok, the new owners won't want to lose their 1st match in charge that's for sure.
And in the FA Cup we rarely lose to lower league opposition, the League Cup is another matter, but usually we win the games you'd expect us to win in the FA Cup, Lincoln is obviously the blot on our copybook in that respect.

Lincoln kicked us to death as the referee watched on!

I think there might well be, there's no reason we can't roll over MK Dons tomorrow!

BRISTOL ROVERS v Sheff Utd

Might there be less of an incentive for clubs like Exeter with no crowds allowed in. The prize money for winning Round 3 is £61k but picking up 40% of the gate money at Old Trafford would be circa £700k assuming full house & £25 per ticket.

Re, Burns's list above, I'd give up all the rest for a Donny win.

Re: Where will the FA Cup shocks be
TBH we battered them footballing-wise but got mugged physicality-wise. They were an up and coming team/club and we weren't prepared for the onslaught. About 6 Imps fans sat on their hands in front of me in JHU trying not to squeak when they scored. I said well played, you deserved it at full time and we shook hands.
If SD doesn't send a team out to win, then I fear a repeat.

Newport top pick for me. BHA won’t enjoy playing on a rugby pitch and I’d expect Newport to let the grass alone, this week.

I've been thinking that too.GordonvaleClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:41 amIt happened in 1975, when they were a non-league side.
Lightening never strikes twice.
Different name, but origins from the same place.
We'd been semi-finalists the season before too.
I was hoping to go one better that season.
How wrong was I?

I think the shock will be that no PL side lose to a lower division side!
