Some of our ball control wouldn't look out of place in the sunday league.

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
I don't know how we are losing, and I'm not sure what there is to be unhappy about, apart from the score.
On another day we could have had 4 or 5, wherein lies our present problems.
If we end up losing this it's nothing more than fate, and you can't fight fate.

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
somebody needs to remind them they are a Premier League team, no excuses given the team we have out today, dreadfully poor
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Hardly defensive we’ve had plenty of chances, but wasted themRight_winger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:38 pmSD can **** off.. sick of his record on cups and defensive shite football

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
I disagree, we've been playing it around really well, albeit against a poor league 1 team. We've just not been clinical in the box - which is down to our confidence of our front lineboatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:38 pmSome of our ball control wouldn't look out of place in the sunday league.
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Not sure I fancy us now. We’ve had a hatful of chances but just don’t look clinical. Their tails will be up now.

This is why we concede so many to City. Just lost complete confidence. Need to get back in the game common Burnley. It's just one goal.

That, and some basic ball control.
Accurate forward passing? Not a chance!

I'm not convinced you're watching the game - I've seen plenty of good and accurate forward passingboatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:42 pmThat, and some basic ball control.

I have said it for weeks.
Chris wood is so out of form at the moment he is struggling to do even the basics of football.

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Absolutely no embarassment when you've given the young lads a run out; Bards, Erik, Corky, Stephens, Brady....
Seriously though, Cork AND Stephens in the same midfield ?

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
We were playing really well until they scored. Just goes to show it means nothing.
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Agree with the above - been absolutely dire since they scored. Some really slack performances so far. Has to be much much better.
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Another awful miss.
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Given it's Man Utd on Tues there will be no changes up front till the last mins
Nobody will be hooked early

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Another shocking miss from Wood. That must be his 6th sitter he has missed this season
Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Wood misses a free header... his confidence is shot to pieces
not sure what to do, pull him and it destroys it more when we know he's better than that, or leave him on and he misses more.
I'd leave him on for now...

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
Wood is seriously out of form. Last season he got a chance anywhere in or around that 6yd box and he was deadly. Hope he regains his confidence quickly.

How many sitters is Wood going to miss, every single game he misses a sitter.

Re: Clarets v MKD Match thread
We are embarrassing, but Sean has zero interest in the cup competitions and makes that plain. Is it any wonder that this attitude rubs off on the players? A premier league team, nay, any professional team should aim to win every game!
