Who do you fancy in the next round?
I’ll take Crawley if I may...
I’d like us to have a bit of a run in a cup... (isn’t that what Leeds fans were saying?)

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Remember, there is the draw for the fifth round as well taking place, so we'll be able to map out our route to the quarter finals.

Lower league clubs for rounds 4, 5 and 6 then obviously City at Wembley in the semi-final. Are the semi-finals being played at Wembley ?

Luton Town away in the 4th round and then home to the winner of Bristol City v Forest in the 5th Round

Definitely agree regards game time for the likes of Benson, Glennon, Mumbongo and either Norris or BPF - I'd like to see them feature whoever we are drawn against - even if it is the annual trip to the Etihad

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Talking of Chorley at home, this was trouble waiting to happen in 1986 at Ewood. We get bussed in there but they allowed people from three local towns in the same area at the same time and wondered why it kicked off.

FA Cup days were very special when we were in the lower leagues (definitely ignoring Telford in this year!!!) and the buzz of them will never return imo.

Completely opposite for me. I hope we don’t play them for 50 years, just so they know it’s well over half a century since they last beat us.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
I was an hour and a quarter before kick off FF. Didn't even see there was 'a usurper'. That was a bit out of order, given the tradition and custom. Then my thread got 'merged' and Madge disappeared again. I had an ok title too! Just called them Milton Keynes.
Becoming farcical. 'Complaint' cited as reason for removing Madge gif, which is ludicrous. Not sure there is a complainant. Just an excuse. If there is a complainant, then they really have no place interfering in the match day traditions, just because they suddenly find themselves stuck, like the rest of us.
She may go in the window, if things don't improve!

I'm sure it'll have been tongue in cheek from jdrobbo because they got beat and won't be in the draw for the next rounds.box_of_frogs wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:07 pmCompletely opposite for me. It's tradition and I feel an agreement.. you start the match threads. It should be end of chat. I go and find the starting lineup and post at 3pm on the dot.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
So let me get this right r.e. complaints.
If I make a complaint about a post, the post gets deleted?
That seems strange to me.... surely it has to be upheld and sanctioned by a moderator?
As an aside, is madge still allowed to dance like that when she performs live on stage?
The whole world has just gone a bit ‘weird’.

My forecast is that if not a rabbit out of the hat, it will be...
... Blackpool v. Burnley.
... Blackpool v. Burnley.
Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Michael Duff’s Cheltenham at home would be good.

If I've said anything for you complain about, let me know. I see Ian's match threads as something to look forward to on a Saturday. Not the same when it's somebody else. A tradition - also like a ritual.bobinho wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:21 pmSo let me get this right r.e. complaints.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
I live on the Fylde so would like Blackpool. Looking up the thread, and I know it's irrelevant now but I can think of nothing worse than drawing that lot from down the road in the cup.
Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Whoever we play it wont be easy to win. Why? Because we have to score to win.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
I’ll be honest frank, I’m struggling to find anything in Ian’s match day thread that’s worthy of complaint.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:26 pmIf I've said anything for you complain about, let me know. If I had reason to complain about anything, I’d do so in the thread and let it be known before alerting a mod. I think that’s the right way to do things. Trouble is there are far too many folk looking for something to be offended by. Nothing youve ever posted has merited a complaint from me... I enjoy your offerings to this board as i do Ian’s.

bobinho, good to know. I'm very much the same. I see his threads like the 'official' matchday thread.bobinho wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 6:03 pmI’ll be honest frank, I’m struggling to find anything in Ian’s match day thread that’s worthy of complaint.

Re: Madge.
How anybody can complain about photos or gifs of a beautiful woman has me stunned but for a moderator to then uphold the complaint and delete the post is beyond belief.
What a wierd world we, sadly, live in.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Winnable home tie hopefully, mind you we thought MKD was a good draw on paper, and we scrambled through against them.

We inherited the word 'puff' from HC, as a way of describing and dismissing opposing players. (In the context of 'powderpuff', rather than anything sinister and unwelcome by us all. HC would do substitution announcements for them as 'puff' off, 'puff' on. All lighthearted.
However, a couple of seasons back, someone did as you said. They wrote within the thread one day, that they were regulars but now finding 'puff' to be difficult to accept, owing to possible connotations and the poster said they had better stop coming on. It was addressed by the thread and as there was agreement to just stop using the word.
That's the way to do it.

It's amazing that some Clarets think there is such a thing as an 'easy' cup draw, as if history has taught them nothing.
