Prefer Selby to get beat earlier than the final, it is a better watch without him in

I'm really loving it great to see Murph showing some form his long pots yesterday outstanding. Did you see the red he put in the middle right by dropping the cue ball onto the cushion and nudging the red in, unbelievable that was never on.

He's a bit of a boring sod, isn't he. I would normally give Ronny a mention (oh - just have done), but he keeps coming across like he really can't be arsed.

Do you agree that the BBC commentary is so much better than ITV or Eurosport?

It's just so much more enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Dennis Taylor was a educating the viewers on what the ferrule was last night. He said the ferrule is the little brass thing made of titanium on the end of the cue.

Scotland's John Higgins will face Chinese debutant Yan Bingtao in the final of the Masters on Sunday.

Hmm! a real experience vs youth contrast here, I'd say Higgins will likely prevail the longer format will suit him more in my view, but it's quite a story for a debutant to make the final, so Bingtao can't be discounted by any means.

Thought Higgins v Gilbert was very low quality. A decent safety exchange early in the evening aside, neither player was on it. The mortgage on Higgins tomorrow though.

Higgins ahead but only 4-3 last frame in progress now, could be a tight contest this evening.

Big frame for Higgins winning the 8th, gives him some breathing space again, and you'd expect him to go on and win tonight, but Yan has shown glimpses of his ability, and he will win plenty in his career.

Higgins comes from behind to pinch the 11th, that could be important for him, Yan was starting to get a rhythm going, now he's got to go again.

I can see this going deep neither player looks like running away with it that's for sure.

A century from Higgins to end the session, he's inching towards victory 7-5 ahead now.

Cheering on young Bingtao.

Just wish he'd shave off that irritating wispy hair on his chin.

Horrible disgusting cheat. Its even more disgusting considering the ban stephen Lee got which was for life yet there was more evidence against higgins. The snooker bosses clearly didn't want to destroy the career of one of their big stars.

You may well be right, Ronnie won The Masters aged 19, and he's not fared too badly in his career, Yan's temperament is incredible at such a young age, can he hold his nerve in the closing frames though.
