If you think that Wood is still worthy of a starting spot after his last couple of performances, then words fail me. He’s turned in his fair share of shockers this season.

He wouldn’t get in my lad’s under 9s side on current form and has looked anything but a Premier League footballer.

Not sure you need a totally different option when you have a pi55 poor refs performance 1 - 0 loss and a stuffing by City in the last 9 matches...otherwise unbeaten

I don't think that's quite the point. Our defence can't be expected to make up for our forwards inability to find the net every game.

Anyway, let's hope it's different tonight and they score.

Wood & Barnes are having a lean spell but I really do not get this obsession with Vydra.

I am a big fan of both Wood and Barnes and clearly they are both very well suited to our playing style, much more than Vydra, but they are both going through an awful spell right now. To keep one of them in the lineup makes sense to me, but with both of them having such a dry spell I just feel it makes sense to drop one of them at least and give Vydra a chance. Even though Wood and Barnes were getting into good positions on Saturday, I just felt so much more confident we would score when Vydra was on the pitch.

Dyche clearly knows best though, and I’m sure Wood and Barnes will be back into the swing of things soon!

I see that Madge has been removed already.

I wrote the following on the MK match thread -

"I completely fail to understand why anyone is complaining about pictures of Madge. She is fun. She has been the mascot of the matchday thread for years, ever since HolyCustard found her in a shoe box in his cupboard under the stairs.

So far no-one has enlightened me. It seems very narrow minded to complain about a young, French singer/dancer (Alizee) who has delighted match day viewers for years.

I also agree about Madge, as it’s light hearted fun for most of us. But CT has had enough to deal with this past 12 months and his explanation is here, and we need to respect that.

Getting lots of complaints about the match day threads and with good reason. One match recently I had to remove so many posts that contained horrendously bad language, mainly from one poster, last weekend it was blatant racism. Then there are the juvenile thread titles. Last Saturday we had one poster using the thread to criticise another poster for daring to start the thread, claiming his to be official. Absolutely ridiculous.

Quite simply, these threads are causing a lot of problems and if it continues then the only answer will be to close the board down during games.

Why not just ban the regular miscreants permanently Tony..we all know who they are.

Not exactly unusual weather on the west coast of Ireland. I was on holiday on the Dingle peninsular several years ago and I think it rained none stop for a week.

Wood really has become a target hasn't he? He's our best striker and the most likely to get a goal.

I fancy us to score, prob from a set piece as opposed to open play. I don’t think we have enough of a forward threat to trouble them openly.

We certainly need the back five to be operating at their maximum, with the defensive duties of the midfield helping out so much we will struggle to break I feel.

Whilst the other two get plaudits from some for getting into the right positions to have a chance to score (but fail) it seems Vydra gets no recognition for getting into the right position (even if it is six inches) and scores.
