No surprise.
our ball retention is L1 quality. We are far too dependant on our back 4.

Barnes is too focused on trying to get the free kicks and to me the refs are watching him more

Completely unmarked but an unfortunate deflection
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Our forwards can't get hold of the ball and yet we still persist 442 baffling
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Does Dyche not try to influence a game before the inevitable happens ? It was so obvious we are getting overun with aimless punts but no, nothing as per most games.

Decent first half, where we looked like we belonged up here. Pumped second half, where we looked like a lower league side who'd drawn man united in the cup.

How Chris wood is on the pitch at the moment is beggars belief. Absolutely shocking for like the 5th game in a row

Typical. A deflection or a dodgy penalty was the only way they were going to score.
They could get more though now as we have to go forward more. Sugar.

Getting sick of Dyche not swapping the centre forwards.

I wish we could pass and run the ball forwards as well as we go backwards.
When 1 goal down record - 6 times - lost 6 !!!!
Not even a draw in there somewhere let's hope tonights the start of a better record when we go 1 behind.

Cannot argue with the goal, it’s been coming second half. Think I’d be tempted to swap Westy(booked) for Jay Rod... then Vydra shortly after

It's been coming , they've completely controlled the midfield since halftime . I don't understand why we don't go 4-5-1 when this is happening.
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
This is the infuriating part of Dyche's tactics. It clearly hasn't been working second half yet no meaningful substitutions. Sure we lack depth on the bench (and on the field) but try something else.

Hang on a minute. This is whatever they said on Sky......43 million v 412 million expenditure. We’ve gone 70 minutes and just conceded to a good but deflected goal, to a team about to go top in the PL.Let’s not lose perspective eh?

Yep. We’ve spent £41M and all we can do is hoof it aimlessly. £35k a week, and some of them can’t pass!

Sorry, but on that basis would you settle for relegation based purely on net spend?

Vydra doing well too get 10 mins. No time to influence a game. Let's hope he takes a page out of the opposition managers book though.

Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
For perspective, the game at half time was fairly balanced. United have changed it and pushed Pogba forward, instead of countering this we've carried on and watched us get pumped for 20mins. We've two centre forwards on who have offered extremely little for weeks. We have changed it now with ten mins remaining and at one nil down. At 0-0 we could have gone for this game. We might still have got pumped but I want to see us change things rather than just sitting watching the inevitable coming.

The odds-on scapegoat is now off. Who will the guns turn on next?
