Today's footie 17/1/21

A surprise score line in Scotland, Motherwell leading Rangers 1-0, could be a big 3 points for Grezza if they can hold on, long way to go yet they've only played 35 minutes.

Sheff Utd-Spurs

Liverpool-Utd

City-Palace

Wins for Spurs and City would be useful, don't unduly care about the game at Anfield, although it would be good if Liverpool were given a stiff test ahead of Thursday.

Blades have had some bad luck this season and maybe turned the corner in their last game; cant see them holding Spurs though - 0-2
United seem to be generally in better form than L'pool lately but I can see the home team coming good for this 1-0
Citeh v Palace: Palace will defend manfully and pose some threat but they probably wont have enough of the ball to do much damage - 2-0

Finished 1-1 at Motherwell, good result for Grezza against the runaway leaders, who of course remain unbeaten this season.

Yep Spurs looking comfortable, and yet another assist for Son, the question is will Spurs park the bus, or go for the jugular, you'd expect the latter, but with Jose who knows.

2-0

Why oh why did Spurs not play in a similar manner against Fulham?

I’m sorry Sheffield Utd fans, but your team is just not good enough and you are going down.

Is there a cleaner striker of the ball in the PL than Kane? Superb finisher.

Thankfully they'll fill one relegation berth, who fills the other 2 is much harder to judge, but clearly the win over Newcastle was a one-off.

Probably showed more how poor Newcastle are, than anything about Sheffield

Nope he isn't, relegated with Bournemouth last year, and all but certain to suffer the same fate with Sheff Utd.

Shows how vital a solid keeper can be to a teams success.

Newcastle were poor, but they've been poor for a good few weeks now, and they will be looking over their shoulders.

Lundstram is ooc this summer and Wilder has confirmed they have offered a new deal that he has turned down

Only watched the last 10 mins today but always seems a guy who would fit the Dyche mantra and would add some steel to our midfield

Anyone else colourblind like me and finding it almost impossible to watch Liverpool v United?

Ridiculous kit choice from United when their third kit which they wore against us would have been much more beneficial for the viewer.

Utd are playing in white socks,

Pool goalie is dressed in green, does he blend into the grass?

Another stale game between two top 6 teams..yet all we hear from fans of the top 6 is how dull we are to watch. At least our games don't get the ridiculous overhyped hysteria that these games do..then fail to deliver.

Surely, with Palace nearer to us you'd want Man City to win.

Typical. I put Foden in my FPL team and Pep benches him. He is in really good form and he benches him...the luxury of being City i suppose.

Unless its KDB its pointless putting anybody else in. He rotates them all they are all that good they all need game time. Likely built into contacts too

No.
I'll always root for the underdogs against the big boys.
It would give me no pleasure at all to cheer on a team which is basically the cuddly face of a despotic, human rights-abusing regime.
Added to which, me wishing a particular team to win has no discernible influence on the outcome.
