Clubs will be allowed to per game and if one side is taking a player off, the other side can do the same.

Be interesting to see how the normal suspects try and cheat it.

In F1 you're not allowed to drive/race again for a set period of time, I think it's minimum of 2 weeks as the recovery period is 2-3 weeks.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:34 pmBe interesting to see how the normal suspects try and cheat it.
I'd assume it will be the same in football, if player has concussion no footballing activities allowed for 2 weeks as a minimum.

Yes, you'd think there would be some kind of ruling on this.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:43 pmIn F1 you're not allowed to drive/race again for a set period of time, I think it's minimum of 2 weeks as the recovery period is 2-3 weeks.

However, this is the EPL.

Unless there is a minimum recovery period, it will almost certainly be open to misuse.

That could work - although guess it could still be cheated if the team doesn't have a game for X days, or the manager thinks he can do without him for the next game. They'll need to be on the ball with this as it's inevitable that some teams will take the ****.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:43 pmIn F1 you're not allowed to drive/race again for a set period of time, I think it's minimum of 2 weeks as the recovery period is 2-3 weeks.

"For a player to be deemed fit to return to play, the League will first impose these five steps, each one taking a minimum of one day:
1) No activity, 2) Light aerobic exercise, 3) Sports specific exercise, 4) Non-contact sports drills, 5) Full contact practice , 6) Return to play
The assessment of a player will be ongoing throughout the above steps with a minimum recovery period of six days imposed from the time of the injury".

Such a cynic.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 5:58 pmThat could work - although guess it could still be cheated if the team doesn't have a game for X days, or the manager thinks he can do without him for the next game. If a club is found to cheat the rules then they need to be fined.
The NFL has very good concussion rules and hefty fines for rule breakers

As per usual, football is too arrogant to adopt established sporting protocols and is embarking down another VAR cul-de-sac.
