Enjoying this, that Tozer is having a Duff-esque performance.

Bugger.
Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Foden has carried City tonight. Too many of their lads haven't fancied it.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Was just thinking the same. VAR would still be messing about drawing lines for the Jesus goal.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Called it just before Murphy -VAR would have had that offside.
So perhaps Cheltenham would have liked them to mess about drawing the lines.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
He just has so much natural ability. You can tell he sometimes plays with pressure and stops himself from being himself. But whenever the next major International tournment may be.. he has to start. And give it 3-4 years, he'll be captain.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 7:19 pmHe's got it all.

Superb performance by City. They just seem to swipe aside anything in their path.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
I didn't realise we go above Newcastle if they lose tonight.
If they hit the bottom three I can't see them leaving.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Yellow card for Grealish tonight would be awesome for us. Targett is also on 4 yellows. So a win for Villa and a couple of yellows would do nicely

Yes please. I can't see how anyone would be in a position where they need to pick up a booking against Newcastle though.

I met a girl in Sunderland who was from Newcastle. They don't go down easily.

Villa can be scarily good at times. V tough game for us on Wednesday.
Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Aston Villa are an amazing side to watch this season. Outstanding football. What a job Dean Smith is doing there.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
Key to the Villa game is to stop them scoring early.
We score first, we get at least a point.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
See where you're at there.
It'll not be easy, but reckon we won't roll as easy as this Mags side.
They really are struggling just now.

Re: Today's Footy (Sat)
If Villa were chasing the game Grealish is more than capable of a yellow - it won't happen now, unfortunately.

Wednesday will be tough, but don't forget we got a result at Villa Park, and we're in reasonable form ourselves, Villa have played well, but Newcastle have been abysmal again.

Let's hope Mike Ashley doesn't do anything stupid, like sacking Steve Bruce !
