Newly discovered comedy talent

Post by bobinho » Sat Jan 23, 2021 2:56 pm

In response to the “stealing a living” thread, it got me thinking of who has recently been showcased on the telly box as a great new talent.

For me, the best programme I have seen in quite a while is “fleabag” written by the (not-so-new) extremely talented Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

What have you watched and been impressed with recently?

Not exactly recent, but the Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse fishing programme was very good, as was House of Fools.

Friday Night Dinner is hilarious, but like virtually all similar programmes it does a couple of excellent series and then gradually becomes a bit dafter and less funny as it strains for more laughs, which is a shame.
