A couple of offerings if I may.

George Michael, Aretha Franklin - I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)

Good thread Steve, much better suited to a Saturday night.

Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Great affection for each other you could hear in their songs. Not sure he ever got over her untimely death.

I didn't realise that song was written by Tina Turner! I first heard that song many moons ago by Christine Perfect and Chicken Shack, which was cover of Etta James' original version. Ms Perfect of course went on to be Christine McVie.

Re: Best Male/Female duets ever
Thanks for the musical suggestions. I’m going to check some of those out.
If folk write the name of the artist as well as the song, it’ll be possible to find them on iTunes or Spotify. YouTube doesn’t work for me .
Cheers and enjoy your Saturday evening!

Aquaintance of mine has a stunning version of I'd rather go blind on youtube. I’ll not put it up as it’s not a duet, just his band, but search for “Nial McCabe Band I’d rather go blind” if you are interested.

The Chicken Shack version was the first I heard all those years ago and still love it. Beth Hart though takes the Live performance to great heights and not o ly with JB.
